Introduction

Hi All,

Sorry I started off a bit quick with my swap thread,

Im Brendan, Got a Subi B4 at the moment and looking at getting back into some V8 Goodness.

I had a VL Calais.. White over silver, but not a turbo

She was a V8.. had some head work, Carby, Cams, diff, box and exhaust.. it used to shift like a pig (auto), and used to be VERY tail happy but yet so sophisticated that it woke up my neoghbourhood when I used to warm her up (sarcasm goes here)... this is where the love affair with the Lion and RWD V8's began!

I been surfing through the VL section here already also! haha.

the v8 vl is an awesome car, ive had my eyes on the lookout for one recently, but there arent too many around in good nick anymore. welcome

too true...ive been looking for noe that is in good condition for 5 years...they are all either bad condition or way overpriced.......ive now sorted my problem and built my own. i used a 6 cyl shell no rust and 100% straight.....will post pics as soon as shes finished..

You don't want an old carby v8 now do ya ??? I thought they sucked the wallet dry bad enough when juice was 80c/L ... the reason I sold my old v8.

i only recently sold my vk 304 and i dont think the carby made a real notice to petrol consumption to my old mans vxss, mabye an extra 2-3 litres over 100kms........give up a six pack a week and you wont notice the difference in your pocket very much at all
