Why not just save for a couple more weeks
|
I can see where the blokes coming from though, its not always as easy as just save for a couple of weeks and away you go. I tried to run, maintain and personalise a car on apprenticship wages and its tough. You buy the car you love then want to personalise it and make it your own, but on $120 (after they take out the repayment) a week its tough. That doesnt include fuel, insurance, rego plus a few bucks to spend with your mates on a weekend.
Some people are lucky, they can just wait a few weeks to buy the best on the market, but not everyone can. As my mates know Ive been trying for 4 damn years to buy a Sat Nav and finally got one last week when work doubled up my pay. When I finish my apprenticeship within the next few weeks my take home pay acctually triples what I get now, and thats not even me being payed what someone qualified in my field with my product knowledge is worth
Its tough being on crap pay and wanting to personalise your first car, I know, Ive been there
