One of the friends was asking me about his license today. Apparently some time last year he got caught for speeding on his red p plates and with New South Wales' harsh penalties for red p platers and lead feet he was issued with a letter of suspension. He then went to court and appealed it or something and the appeal was granted, so he could drive again - or so he thought. He went to do his green p's test some time at the beginning of this year and the rta told him he was still suspended!! After about 2 weeks of fighting he FINALLY got his license back and moved onto green p's. Not long ago (about a month) he crashed his hilux and the police hit him with negligent driving. He's just rung me up today telling me that he's just got another letter from the RTA about suspending his p2 license - how does that work? shouldn't he have had 7 points on his p2 license?
I'm not too sympathetic with this lad - it's just that i need him to take me to tafe every 3 weeks.
