Who has a abnormal case of the flu at the moment?

Ive been sick for about 3 days now, started off just as a cold, then turned into the flu over night, which rapidly turned into a combination of the flu and a nasty bug, ive been throwing up and coughing for ages and my lungs feel like there going to burst... on top of that ive been getting hot sweats, stomache/head aches and loss of appetite...

Any one else got this abnormal flu virus and want to vent?

IF you do have it, i recommend getting a doctor to come to your house, give you a maxxima shot and a prescription for an inhaler, which helped me alot.
On top of that get some ease-a-cold tablets, cough syrup and rub vicks on your chest. all that with the usual, keeping warm and taking paracetamol tablets for discomfort

And of course as soon as I got better my housemates have started getting sick

was a bit sick a couple of weeks ago. seems to have spread fast lately. my friends were all getting sick, people at work getting sick, family getting sick. all around the same time. none as bad as you sound though

I got totally anhillated by a cold about a month ago, but yeah.

Just had a flu shot this morning...I can't stand needles, but I'd rather a needle than the flu.

If you rub vix on to your feet and cover them with sox the heat stumulates some sort of presure point on the foot and helps to ease a cough, and yes I have had it too, so has my girlfriend but she is prego and all she can have is a bit of Panadole!!!!

ive been sick since the start of march, on my 5th course of anti-biotics and cant get my flu hot till it goes away..... but then again this usually happens this time of year with me cos ive got athsma pretty bad and i get chest infections from coughing so much at night when im sleeping

I first got it on the 9th May. Was basically a bad dose of the flu, chest infection, high fever etc. Went through two courses of antibiotics. Went back to work on 21st, 22nd and 23rd and come 24th I had it worse than than I initially did. It's now turned into bronchitis. Coughing up multi colour flem all day, can hearly breath as it's brought on my athsma, sweating all through the night and when I breath it sounds like walking on gravel. I'm on antibiotics again, steroids to help the breathing (not the kind that make your balls shrink), multiple athsma medication. To top it off I get phone calls from work at 8am asking where's this and what do we need to do for that.

I don't know if your lungs bruise but my ribs are killing me from all the coughing. To top it off i've been waking up in the middle of the night coughing up blood red flem.

not to mention a sore diaphram. Ive had a week off work last week, damn thing knocked me on my ass, watching most of work go down with it too..........

MMMM yummy, you paint quite a picture of yourself!!!! sorry I know you are sick but thats gross Scooter! However the good thing about being sick is having a partner, my hubby and I milk it when we are sick. I give him a massage rub his feet, do chicken soup etc its almost fun at out house when you are sick! you need something to get you through!

Yep, best to knock the flu on the head fairly quickly if you can nowadays. Plenty of rest and medication do the trick.

the only problem is.... theres only so many sick days you can take off...
