Just got this off the Adelaide Advertiser website...thought I might share the good news:

A HIGH-profile Melbourne teenager is in custody after being arrested for affray early today.

Police have confirmed the 17-year-old Narre Warren youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is assisting police with their inquiries in relation to an affray in Cranbourne on Saturday night.

Do a quick google: "Narre Warren Corey". Result is Corey Delaney/Worthington.

Just to make it clear, I in no way advocate his behaviour. The media's beat him up as a hero for being a goose. If I recall correctly, a young lad somewhere in Australia saved his mate from a shark that week. He lasted two days in the media and got a thank you.

How much exactly is Corey making because he threw a party, acted like a goose and stereotyped the whole of Generation Y (myself included)?

While technically by posting this I raise his profile, this story made me smile and I like to share good news stories.

He is however inncocent until proven guilty so we will see how it unfolds.

What i dont get about this, is that you cannot make a profit from crime. All choppers profits from books and games and movie, were given to the crumes compensation, why is this glorified ****wit knobjockey allowed to profit from his crime.

Well thats for the court to decide. The court can determine that his crime was that of an adult, there fore he can be tried as an adult. Lets hope the court find his "experiences" enough to make him "adult worthy" lol

Was he actually found guilty of anything? I thought the fines he got were for CIVIL expenses not legal infringements. So if he wasnt found guilty of anything then he isnt making profit from crime.

Whoever he is it's doubtful that he'll be thrown inside. That would be the reason why he was picked up in the morning of a weekday some days after the incident. So that he could be taken directly before a magistrate. Rather than putting him in front of a bail justice (after hours) just to have them knock back a remand application.

It is VERY difficult to have kids remanded into custody. It needs to be something a bit more severe than being involved in a brawl. If they're on bail however, they need to be put in front of either magistrate (court hours) or bail justice (after hours) to be determined whether or not they can be cut loose.
