    Unhappy Have a winge thread!

here's my winge of the day,

OLD PEOPLE: Just the other day, coming home from work i got hit by an old lady on her way to bowls in a sissy 4x4....was entering a 2 lane round about (both lanes go straight ahead with option to turn left in the left lane, and the option to turn right in the right lane) anyway this old bag was in the left hand lane (with me in the right) and she decides it's alright for her to turn right and smack into the ass end of my car no damage was done to mine but she had a little ding on the front end of hers....
But seriously ffs i can only guess she's had her licence for 30+ years...you'd think she would have f****** learnt how to use a roundabout by now

    anyone else want a winge

I know some older people who do the same thing, I've gone over it with them so much yet they just don't understand that concept because they believe the left lane is only for overtaking.

I even gave them a guide to roundabouts, which was approved by transport sa and they still didn't believe it.

I can say im glad I grew up in a town with roundabouts so I know how to use them, I am quite cautious and aware when entering one because I feel that some penis kebab will do the wrong thing and collect me. My town has a fair few backpackers in vans, and they are usually the worst, so whenever I see a van on or entering the roundabout I stay put untill they are gone LOL.

oh all my christmas's have come at once, a winge thread!! when I was at swimming the other day i was entering the car park and went to turn right while in the car park, the traffic coming the oposite way are on a give way sign and need to let me pass, so I went to turn in and she kept going so I had to halt, she gave me the bird and told me to get a licence check!! I thougt it was funny even though I wanted to track her down an beat her but seriously have the road rules changed that much over the years that give way signs dont apply??

We did the same thing with my father in law and him and my hubby got in to a full on fight because he could not believe what we were saying. We told him even though he is on a green arrow he has to give way to pedestrians crossing the road, he could not get it, I have an arrow I go! grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

that would mean the peds r walking on a red man signal? farkem i'd go too and run them over, footpaths for people, roads for cars - both need to follow their corresponding rules!

    As above /\

If you have a green turn signal, the dont walk light will be on.
If the arrow is out, but the normal light is green, that means giveway to pedestrians.

I don't understand why the fk old people need to be out & about during peak times. Seriously, they don't work and they've got all day and all week to do shopping, run errons etc. Leave Saturdays, Sundays and Thursday night late night shopping for us people who work during the week.

All they do is get in my way and give me a bad case of road rage / shopping mall rage!

no it doesnt. ive seen plenty of intersections where the green arrow can interfere with a green walk light.

green turn arrow for car, and a solid green walkyman signal, would never light together at same time.

only other case is no green arrow which means cars have to give way to oncoming cars and also ped's.

i would like to be proven wrong, but sounds to me it would be an error in the intersections traffic signaling sequencing.

I promise it is true!! we were behind him in deer park and he had an arrow to turn left but the peds had a green signal but come to think of it I have not seen that either??? and yes it is usually a green light ( not Arrow ) and you need to give way. Are the lights wrong?

In Adelaide such a thing would never happen.

I know a specific intersection where if someone is waiting to walk, it holds up 2 turning left lanes, once they start walking, the arrow changes from RED to nothing, ie turn with care.
It only ever turns green when no-one is walking, as with every other intersection here.
Complain to the council i think.

Mine for today, sticking with two laned roundabouts, taxi drivers are the worst. They go from the right hand lane entering it (to go straight) to cutting back across to the left when exiting. All the stupid people do it, I do it aswell IF there are no cars around, I should check before going onto the roundabout and make sure noone else is beside me before I cut back across.

But taxi drivers just do it full stop.

My other sook is the rain we're getting here at the moment, it may aswell be mist or fog. It's that light you can stand outside for 5 minutes before getting wet.

What stocky is saying is correct, here in Victoria theres are countless intersections where theres a green arrow and the pedestrian light is on. Theres one that i go through everyday almost comming out of the shopping center. Its dangerous because we live in a town filled with asians and they just ignore every road rule possible.

I was actually hit 2 weeks ago at the above mentioned shopping center by a elderly man. He hit my front right hand side guard and bumper. There was damage however there is a massive black marking over the bumper where he hit me. I was pretty ****ed, but then he just reversed and motioned for me to keep going, i leaned out my window and told him to pull over to the side to the Australia Post docking bay thing, he shrugged his shoulders and pointed for me to go. I pulled over, he took off. Im swearing my head off and girlfriend is yelling at me "its only a car dont worry about it"...

trosal your winge reminded me of another one:

was driving to Adelaide on Friday and a slow truck is holding me up as we approach an overtaking lane on a slight uphill incline. Infront of the truck is a hilux with a few sheep in the back, which is understandably going slow and slowing everyone else and I had to hang back about 3 seconds because there was some dirt and crap coming off the ruck.

As we entered the overtaking section, the truck moves to the left as it should. I apply some power and as I get near the truck, he pulls out infront of me to overtake the hilux.
Because its uphill the truck speeds up but not by much holding up the entire overtaking lane. By the time the 500m to go sign comes up, the truck has only just passed the hilux. I managed to pass the hilux but I was stuck behind the truck (which travelled at the same speed as it did before he passed the hilux) until the next overtaking lane 10 kms away.

    What an idiot
