    Default what do you call a group of...?

    so myself and a JC moderator were discussing this earlier today over lunch.

    if a group of bats is called a colony,
    a group of elephants is called a herd,
    a group of wolfs is called a pack;

    what is a group of "car enthusiast's" called?

    most members of the police force would call us "hoons" or "loiters (loitering)" when at a meeting point.

    what are your thoughts or perhaps suggestions to give us a group name of more appealing status ?

    Collectives eh... the majority of them are for animals... but i would go for a "romp" like otters.
    "Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs, with webbed paws. Most have sharp claws on their feet, and all have long muscular tails. Otters are playful animals, for example sliding repeatedly down snowy slopes, apparently from sheer enjoyment."
    I think every car enthusiast can relate to an otter in some way.

    Most of the groups I see loitering around shopping centres are groups of wankers.

    i'd say hoons, afterall thats how society percives a group of car lovers. Even though we see hoons as deadbeat wankers making it harder for the rest of us old timer joe just hears and see's a nice vehical and thinks...damn hoon.

    Nah, that first one is just a certain other club Not car enthusiasts. They are a bunch of twats with no respect for road rules and regulations, nor any respect for other people's safety. But as long as everyone turns and looks when their wheels spin, that's the main thing. They aren't car enthusiasts at all.
