no idea about MPeninsula but i used to like riding along the Yarra in Kew, which was a bit lightweight but a good inner city trail.

there is a book you can buy on MTB trails in melbourne, a good ride, a bit further out, is around Marysville where you go up into the hills and down back into the town. great ride in the snow and pretty challenging..

Have u been down the "death Track" thats what my old amtes called it, but it is along the gravel road that goes past the Morno Golf Course.

    *past golf course
*go right at the round about
    * then go straight along the road, which then leads to a walkn track
*a couple of lookouts along it, and its all down hill, leads onto Mills Beach.

    * oh one mroe thing, watch out for the od person walkn.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.

High Country.... Be willing to travel, if your into extreme off road, or even on road, Gippsland's High Country is unreal for riding. One of my favourite things living down here is going up high country whether it be for a hike, a ride, or even take the motorbikes, its great fun, stunning views, and can be seriously fun and dangerous if your that way incline.

Thats gay... Only thing I have ever had stolen was my old VN... a week before i waas going to trade it in to get my VX... while my folks where in qld.

My mates still don't believe me i didn't have anything to do with it...lol

But yeah, pretty happy with the purchase as long as the bik is in the condition the seller has stated... if not... i simply won't take it...lol

Its a 2003 DaBomb Mindbomb frame with 2005 Marzocchi Bomber front shocks, Truvativ hussefelt cranks and BB, Deore XT rear derailer, Hayne Nine 9" hydrolic disk brakes.

I did a cr*ap load of research on the frame since i had never heard of it before but after reabing reviews on mtbr.com and other sites... apparently this this is basically bullet proof.

The frame was about 2000USD new alone... so im pretty happy getting the lot for $850

Considering a NORCO of about the same age and spec would have me looking at around 2G now.

The seat is a little gay with the leopard print so that will be swapped over soon as i have the bike.

for memory yes, i think its where the rear gate is to the gun club.
also, what abt the briars?? fairly steep **** down there... there is a back way onto there, off a little track near century drive up off top end off bentons rd.. and goes along thru cragie rd. (i think)

    Got the bike last night...

Almost felt guilty only paying 850 for it... the kid was shattered...

When i asked why he was selling he said because he needed the cash for rego... lol

    ANYWAY!

Wicked bike, almost went over the brakes first ride as the hydrolic brakes grip like hell!

What i want to know is.

I want to get out this weekend and give the thing a run... so im not going to have time to take it into a shock and have the front shocks adjusted for my weight (I have about 10kg on the previous owned).

Can i damaged the shocks riding them like that?

    Thanks

Just got back from the trails... eatons cutting... end bit... insane!

Got upto 52km on the last section... didn't have any major stake... one guy missed a corner infront of me and ended up in the bushes... good times

Muddy as hell caus of all the rain.... 4 of us went...

One bloke just got a new downhill GT hardtail and he wrecker his rear derailer.

My bike ate it up like it was nothing...

Soooooo..... much fun... getting a full face helmet now so i don't eat so much mud next time.

Next weekend we want to hit the quarry and some other spots.
