There is a guy over on the LS1 forums who's ordered one. He's also fitting a GENTT kit to it!

370kw big deal. Bolt ons + cam on an LS1/2/3 will give you that.

Priced too high imo. It is right up there with the likes of BMW's M3, Merc's AMGC63 and the Audi RS4. And which out of those do you think is going to have the better build quality?

If it came in at around the $125,000 mark it might be worthwhile. Afterall a Commodore is a Commodore. You can't polish a turd!

Same as the ones on my car mate.

A guy here in tha HSV Club has one on order. Papers all signed etc. Plans are for a blower for it too!

The whole driveline is getting replaced and rated to 700Nm or something!

Plus he's keeping the LS3 and T6060 M6 for a "project" he won't tell us about... lol

ah, is that 375kw at the engine?

    300rwkw? lol

    7 litres for that!

    give me a turbo anyday!

I'm aiming for 400rwkw from a 3 litre engine, on stock internals!

Get that engine to 300rwkw NA. Now that would be impressive. How many times does this come up? ANYONE can have big numbers with big turboes.

why would I wanna do that?

because GM are too stupid to actually develop an engine to make power, rather than just making a bigger engine?

I'd rather have the fuel economy of a 3 litre with 400rwkw, than the HORIBLE fuel economy of a 7 litre and only 300rwkw!

Look at Ferrari V8's, almost half the capacity and more power. Ferrari F430 Scuderia is one example.

Same as the porsche cars aswell, a 6cyl with over 400kwts and 650Nm of torque!! if this commonwhore was anything to write home about it should of been a coupe with 700hp and a fully race tuned chassis! then it might of been a little different, but as usuall holden tries to do it on the cheap, tarts it up and then tries to compare its products with the likes of amg,bmw and other exotics wherin the holden isnt even in the same class except maybe just maybe for the bottom of bmw,s barrel!!!

Actually thinking about it now if this thing has 7ltrs and only 300rwkts its a bit shamefull considering a 1970 model charger with a 4.3litre 6cyl (not turbo or s/c all n/a) had 226rwkwts and thats 30years ago!!!!!!

Seems like holden will go further with massive capacity truck like engines in its cars in the future.

Should be concentrating more on output power/torque and technology than capacity.

7L may sound impressive to some one, but when you look deeper its gonna disappoint some people in terms of power - capacity.

Holden need to bring out a decent 6 to compare with the xr6t. I will take a turbo 6 over a N/A 8 anyday.

**** the 6's, they sound ****, even the porsche 6's sound ****. Without FI they are still useless. Will change my mind on this when someone can show me a well performing 6 with great torque curves not using some form of FI.

    It's time GM develop a nice 4.5/5.0 litre V10.

bmw do that they have made some wild 6cyl that sound crazy TVr make nice sounding 6's aswell. Bmw also make a decent sized v10

    Edit: A BMW 6cyl makes 75kw per litre HSV W427 makes about 53KW per litre -> BMW 3.2lt 6cyl n/a 355bhp
    BMW's 5ltr v10 makes 373kw only 2 kw's less from 2lt less

As much as i like holden's GM need to make some big inroads in tech. I think toyota build some of the most advanced and well engineered cars around germans also make very good cars and their engineering skills are second to none

Can you show me this 6 cylinder that makes 75kw per litre NA with as good a torque curve as the LS7.

I assume you hate 6's going by your posts (I maybe wrong), but not everyone cares about torque curves and other technical things.

6 cylinder engines are more than adequate enough for day to day tasks for the average guy/gal.

Then..for those who want raw power would get more powerful engines.
Pretty useless comparing a six N/A to an eight.

But today's six cylinders even 4 bangers with current technology still goes alright. Nothing spectacular to write about, but good enough for most people.

I agree that M5 are sex on wheels.....

here we go, another v6 vs v8 debate... lets all debate about how big our e-penis's are lol..

all seriousness but, why pay that much? 150k on a holden? go buy something worth 30k and put 50k of engine work into it.. would be alot better then paying 150k for 300rwkw's....

or like has been said, buy euro or jap...
