cheap harmonic balancers at supercheap

hey people well i am not sure if this is a special in every store but while i was in my local supercrap store (aka supercheap) i saw harmonic balancers for vn-vt (3 different boxes) and they were only 70 bucks each save 90 bucks, which i thought was dam cheap...however i didn't buy one as mine is basically brand new, aswell as the other 2 commys in my family (3 balancers in 3 months...which was alot of money lol ) now these may not be the best of the best but ay for 70 bucks its better then a ****ed one ay lol thats if its in every store though which being a special id say it would be...also these are for v6's

just thought id let yas know as its a pretty common thing on these cars to fail and me mums vn has this particular brand on it and we haven't had a problem yet (paid full price...180 bucks!)

what are the symptoms of a failed harmonic balancer? shaky under acceleration? poor idle under a certain rpm?

yep you will feel vibrations that should get stronger with more rpm's, and also unusal noises from the engine. they get gradually worse and worse.

yeh also a big thumping noise at idle lol and if you look at the balancer and see cracks as in decent looking cracks then i would replace ....also grab the balacer and if it wobbles it may be a sigghn of a failing balancer (like mine...could grab it and move it all over place...also had bad vibrations on take off)
