    Default Local Hoons strike again....

Was in bed tonight, and @ 12:30am on the dot, I hear Engine revving and tyres squeeling then............CRASH........

By the time I was out there...30 seconds...

The driver and his 2 passengers had fled the scene, My neighbours front fence is pretty much gone, and debris has damaged his 2 cars in the driveway, Open Beer cans and the stench like a public Bar emits from the cabin...

The Lucky driver escaped without his Jumper and T-Shirt as he was nearly Impaled by the fence rail as it pierced through the Car.......

    Very Lucky Boy!!

We really need to redefine the wording used for people like this.

To me, a hoon is someone who does burnouts.

Speeding, drink driving, and dangerous driving don't come under that banner for me, thats just 'stupidity', not 'hooning'

Sorry Guys, not sure why they arn't working, look ok from here...???
    But here they are again!!

I've included the number plate in these Pic's, as My neighbours are a young hardworking couple who are just scraping by, these Dicks have destroyed their front fence which is only a few months old and also damaged their cars and Garden that they have worked hard for....
Police say their hands are tied as they can't prove anything with an unregistered car.........

What fking tools! The guy driving should have lost his head, would have served him right.
With the police saying they can't prove anything with an unregistered car... what, it's too hard to visit the person who it was last registered too and question them? Should show some initiative at least...

Yeh, There was Blood inside the car, over the steering wheel etc, Funny thing is, after all that, the driver managed to put the car in park, handbrake on, then remove his tops which were pinned very tightly against the seat, then take the Keys from the ignition and run......
There would be some pain felt today, as the timber penetrated his top via the left sleeve, and tore a hole in the hoody, his left arm/shoulder and back would have to be injured!!

Don't want to even think how lucky the front passenger was.....????? Makes me sick!!

Yeh they have insurance, But they were disappointed...
The drivers insurance should be paying for it!! Bit hard if the car is unregistered......

So lucky it wasn't my place!! I think I'd be locked up about now!!

House next to the speed hump!

Wreck the Commodore to pay for the fence. Clearly the owner no longer wants it.

This is almost exactly the same as one I had a while back.

Except the car was registered. At first it was claimed that the car was stolen.

Just one problem: the keys were in the ignition when I found it.

The problem with an unregistered car is that it is now ownerless. Police can put a demand on the owner to make enquiries as to who had possession of the car at a given time. The owner is required to make a reasonable effort to find out and if they know they are required to nominate the driver. Problem you have with an unregistered and ownerless car is that they aren't the owner so we can't put any demand on them.

So the moral to this story is to de-register a car beofre ploughing it into your enemy's fence.

It's unfortunate, But where I live is full of jobless Druggies that all drive unregistered sh!theaps, and don't give a crap about anyone else or their property...

I moved here 2 years ago, and found a nice cheap house worth renovating...
Love my house, but jeez these tools make me want to sell up.....
Police don't do a lot, even when called, and say they can only fine people repeatedly until they get the message, which they do not!!
My street has a couple of sweeping bends that could easily be taken at 100kmh, but during the night, we always hear tyres squealing as they just manage to make it around, must be doing like 140+... we have a speed hump where this accident happened, and then try to get air off it....
Doesn't matter what they are driving, It can be a family members BF or VE, they still do it!! no respect, and neighbours are too scared to say anything as they will be confronted by these tools in numbers!!

My next door neighbour was put into Hospital Via 3 guys and baseball Bat's, Now this guy is in his late 50's!!
That's the type of people society has to Deal with...
We work a fulltime Job, take pride in what we own, and these Things(People) come along on Dole day, get Blind and drive around like they are indestructible....Makes you wonder where we are headed...

In this case, it'd be a little obvious if the last person to own this car was currently in hospital with shoulder/arm injurys.....

In SA, Transport SA have told me that registration has nothing to do with ownership of the vehicle. Thats just the registered operator.

Not sure why other states have it different.

It's under section 60 of the Road Safety Act here. It only ever refers to 'owner'. It could be open to interpretation.

    (3) For the purposes of this section owner means—

    (a) the owner or the person in whose name the motor vehicle was registered at the time
when the vehicle was being driven by the person about whom the information is sought
or at the time when the requirement is made; or

    (b) any person who had possession or control of the vehicle at either of those times; or
    (c) if the motor vehicle displayed a number plate at either of those times—

    (i) the person who, at the time at which the registration number borne by that
    number plate was last assigned
by the Corporation or the corresponding body
under a corresponding Act, was the person in whose name the motor
vehicle, to which that registration number was assigned, was registered
under this Act or a corresponding Act of the Commonwealth or of another
State or Territory of the Commonwealth, whether or not that
motor vehicle is the same as the motor vehicle about which information is
    sought; or

(ii) the person whose name is disclosed in the records kept by the Corporation or
the corresponding body under a corresponding Act as being entitled, or
last entitled, to use or possess that number plate at the time when the
vehicle was being driven by the person about whom the information is sought

I reckon it's just a damn shame that fence rail didn't take the heads off whoever was in the bloody thing.

What a shame - Mornies used to be a nice little town when I was there ('79,'80, '81) - pity the baseball bat wielding morons have taken over.

But isn't it strange - the coppers do so little when these bozos screw with the community, but look out if YOU were to take a pick handle to THESE oxygen wasters..... The bold text from the quote - "... type of people society has to deal with..." - maybe if "society" WAS allowed to "deal with" these pussies (who have to attack in numbers, but ****weak on their own), there might be a few less of them. The Police certainly don't seem to be too proactive in "dealing with them". Instead they keep making excuses of how there's "nothing they can do" - well, that is until you take matters into your own hands. There seems to be plenty they can do about it then! They crack down on the "vigilantes" soon enough.

(I know that won't seem fair VicCop, but we see / hear about this almost every day, and I have personally experienced it. Perps have all the rights in the world, victims have NONE.)

The thing is you can, not legally but i've sorted out alot of my own problems with troublesome tards and only once have the cops had me down at the station to talk about it and that was that just a talk (neighbour witness something they shouldn't have). Also a hell of alot of the time these scumbags won't even go to the police because a. if their mates found out they cried to the police they'd have no friends and b. they've already got themselves known to the police and get screwed over the moment they walk in.

also society is getting fed up with the way people are living their lives with the theory "i can do what ever i want im top ****, i don't have to show respect to anybody"

Definallty a shame there wasnt a head sitting in the drivers seat. One less air waster in the world. I dont see why police cant visit the last registered owners house, ask if the cars been sold or stolen, obviously if the owner is missing an arm we know its him...
