The reason I reckon it's all bull**** is as follows.

I spent a fair bit of time on his website, getting as much info etc as I could and looking at the details of what's included.

The house is pretty bare. Two of the three bedrooms are empty, completely empty. There are about 2 or 3 personal items throughout the house plus the guys small collection of clothes in his wardrobe.

He only really has:
.. average middle class house
.. mediocre home theatre system
.. crappy digital camera
.. crappy video camera
.. basic laptop and printer
.. spa
.. minimal furniture
.. crappy old car
.. average used motorbike
.. crappy old jetski
.. crappy old mountain bike

To me, this looks like someone went and worked in the mines for a while, got some captial and came up with a pretty original idea that would drum up publicity all over the world (which is has done - front page news in some other countries and here in Australia). He then bought a fairly average house in the outer rim of Perth and set it up to look like what would be a fairly average middle class life. Put a spin on it, added a sob story and hoped to make a fair bit of money...

Who's to say he hasn't got a whole lot of stuff in sotrage somewhere or with friends or even another house somewhere? His friends could all be in on it or even investors!

I noticed on his website there's reference to a self-help course on how to make money online. Part of that is to come up with an original idea.

Last I checked, it was around $400,000 which is what the house alone would be worth. The novelty of buying someone's "life" is pretty original so that's where I reckon he's hoping to make more than everything's worth. Personally, I don't think EVERYTHING 9not counting the job) would be worth more than about $480,000 at the absolute MOST!

Is it different to any other ebay auction where people believe they are getting a bargain, but end up paying twice what the item is worth? Sounds more like typical ebay to me.
