Hey guys,
Not sure if this sort of post is allowed, as financial advise isn't allowed under forum rules, but im wanting to know can you write off education costs on tax?
I'm about to pay for a Microsoft Certification Course (which runs next year, but can be paid for this year) which costs $1000. Im wanting to know if i can claim this back on tax? I dont have to complete this course for work, but i got the job on the assumption that i was going to do the course.
Any advise before Monday would be super.
Cheers, Errol.
education expenses can be a tax deduction. i claim my 50% of my computer expenses and 50% of my broadband. i also claim any paper/pens etc.

you have to be able to relate it to your current role. that's usually pretty easy to do, particularly with IT stuff.
