I seemed to have been bitten by this 80's bug a little while ago, but seems its getting worse.
After work held an 'arcades' day in which they hired Pinball Machines & the old table tops for us to play on, I started thinking how cool would that be at home??
Any chance anyone on here has one of these??
Prices seem to be around $2,500 area from what I can find online, although there is a very cheap one (by those prices) on ebay atm......
If any one has some some info on them Id love to hear about it, quick looks around seem to point that 2nd hand (vintage) ones can be unrealiable (which is understandable at their age!) & possibly with bootlegged motherboards??1 Company seems to be making 'NEW' machines??
Im a little confused..........
a lot of people build MAME cabinets nowadays, basically you build a pc running MAME (an emulator) into the cab and load games onto it.

That arcades day sounds awesome.
I would love an 'Outrun' (first choice) or a 'Gallaga' machine or one of the 'Pacman' tables. The current PS/X-Box stuff walks all over them but they're a bit like old cars vs new in that they would have a certain charm. Using an emulator seems a bit like a Lotus-7 or Cobra replica to me; most of the experience, at a lower cost, but it wouldn't be quite the same somehow.
Can't help with trying to find them as I haven't really looked any more than it sounds like you have. I gather some of those machines (and the PCBs) are collectible so that may be reflected in the value. I'll be interested to see what replies come up in this thread.
Arcade game I would love to have would be DAYTONA
