Last night a local single mum got herself an awesome cheap as chips deal and took my car away. Gone, finally!
After looking at hundreds of cars (I'm serious we looked for weeks) I finally decided what I wanted when I spotted a nice, clean, new smelling 2005 VZ Wagon, auto, white with 47,000kms! Now just to work out what I can do to make her look ummm less stock, now I have a car worth spending money on!
Lets see if anyone can guess what I paid for it?.....
Pick her up late this afternoon, will post some decent pictures a bit later, I'm sure you all know what a VZ wagon looks like, but here are the pics from the site....

i wouldnt want a black baby.
id say around the $12,543
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
With that many kms its worth no more than $12k.
im goin with 12,750
as for mods to it, id just go the tinted windows, and that abt all
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
Pffft I wish, Paid $19k for it and got the extra 3 years warranty with it for $3500, so $22,500The first "new" car I have ever had, wont be getting rid of it in a hurry either. Mods... prolly just tint, lower it, mags & exhaust, about all (unless Craig has anything to do with it lol).
luck buggar! we just go a second car and went for a Toyota Camry it was parents in law and they got a Holden Omega, they had camry from new so in awesome nick 0nly done 100,000 and only cost $2000 cause its family, we will need a sation wagon soon though!
I dont drink these days. I am allergic to alcohol and drugs. I breakout in handcuffs!
The less people know about how sausages and laws are made, the better they'll sleep at night.
22k????
Holy crap thats expensive. The extra warranty wont be worth the paper its printed on lol.

We checked out the warranty and he even showed us current invoices, the gearbox blows up, they pay the full cost at a repairer of my choice, the car can be repaired & serviced through Craig's work.
We weren't going to worry about it, but after he showed us all the paperwork and explained it all, sounded worth it.
I would say your lucky.... lol you own that!luck buggar! we just go a second car and went for a Toyota Camry it was parents in law and they got a Holden Omega, they had camry from new so in awesome nick 0nly done 100,000 and only cost $2000 cause its family, we will need a sation wagon soon though!
WOA!!!
For that price I'd have said Goodbye VX hello VE... Rather than spend weeks looking, I spent 30sec.

While I can appreciate there are people that dont like the styling of the VE, VE's make every model before them feel like a bucket of bolts to drive.
Even at $1000 to ship it from the east coast to the west coast, it's still cheaper than spending $22,500 on a 2005 VZ with nearly 50,000km on it.
As for the whole missing of the point regarding a wagon, so what? You went from a sedan... My point was having a MUCH newer car with MORE features and safety equipment and WAY less kms for WAY less dollars.
car salesman will tell you what u want to make a sale, gl getting that service now that your hard earned money has been spent and commission has been pocketed.
As for CSP
the bucket of bolts comment should be your callsign, you love that phrase and i agree with you on that. Compare a VE though to any new model euro or japanese car and the same saying would be applicable IMO. At the moment i am looking at purchasing a 2005 S4 or a 2005 Aero Sports 93 and the build quality and what you get for that money again IMO is a substantial amount better.
22k for a vz exec wagon seems rich to me but hey your coin. GL with it.
@ the end of the day if your happy with what ya got then thats all that mattersIn fact it would be good to see a nice clean wagon done up on here for a change! my reco for mods would be:
1st window tint
2nd mags
3rd drop it on its guts
Oh and if you want throw a few 15" subs in tha back something you can do in a wagon
and maybe in the future a respray in some diff colours?
And having has a VT, a VX and driven my mates VZ plus Dad had a WH Caprice is why I can so readily and frequently refer to them all as buckets of bolts having now had two VEs..
Japanese???Not a chance in hell... I agree on the Euro comment though. The new VW R36 is something Im keen to test drive when the local VW dealer gets on in.
nice wags! good luck with it.
