I'm also curious as to how a 15 year old can muster up $33,000 to spend on a car. Which is a bloody nice car btw.

It's my parents technically but I drive it now. I'm buying a manual learner car and using the berlina for a P plate+ car. Because my mum got a new job that's just down the street, she doesn't need a car anymore and if she does, the nshe can use the manual.

    Pretty sweet deal

Since that's what he claimed as his purchase price in the My Ride.

It used to be worth near 40grand at some point too.

And look after that car! I'm 22 and didn't get my first car till March this year, you are very lucky to have a car before you even had your L's and get such a decent car, so make sure you look after it.

Don't worry... much. I went out all day today driving, in the Hilux though (dad's car). For my first drive, I went pretty good. Main roads, peak hour (both morning and night), back roads, the lot. No dramas. God I love driving!!!

    Congratulations mate

Well done on getting a good pass

Keep up your knowledge of the road rules; I found that the most difficult and dangerous spots for many drivers are Round-Abouts, both double and single lane plus merging traffic especially traffic that comes off a freeeway onto another road.

Never ever expect that other drivers know the road rules.

    Drive to survive

Best Piece of advice right their. Always be prepared that they arnt going to stop at the intersection or that the person in front of you is going to break. Always be alert for the worst and you will have no problems. AND dont be a lazy driver, i know we all tend to become lazy with time, but never sacrifice safety.

    Dont **** it up!
Dont be tempted to just drive down the street and get something small without a licenced driver with you cause you will get caught, love your driving and love your car and look after both and you will be fine, well done on the test, pffft that your so young with a car better than me though, little buggar!

My dad gave me the best advice. Treat every other driver like they are complete idiots and you'll do fine. So far so good. I came across about 3 drivers that seemed worse than me and that was my first day driving.

I'm getting a manual learner car so that won't be that flash. I want a holden calibra (Used HOLDEN CALIBRA Private Seller Cars For Sale - carsales.com.au) or maybe a (hate to say it) lancer. My folks want me to get a lancer because of it's cost and running cost. I have a budget of about $6000 max aiming for the 3-5k bracket. Any ideas?

By the time you get your license you will have to buy a motorbike or something because of the fuel costs
