What is Happening to the $2000 LPG rebate?

Just heard a rumour that the $2000 rebate ended on June 30 2008... I really hope it hasnt because i recently put a deposit down on my 3000 dollar conversion.

Can anyone shed some light?

Yeah ive looked all over the internet, but the rumour was that there was no allowance for LPG rebates in the upcoming budget.

I spoke to an installer and he said that rebate isn't going to end anytime soon so i would think that you'll be pretty safe.

I really hope Kevin Rudd doesnt put his greasy hands on the LPG scheme.

There is no date set at all yet to drop the rebate.
I deal regulary with several gas installer's through work and have asked them and no doubt it will happen, but there is NO DATE SET as yet

AFAIK there is a contract in place till 30th June 2011?

Either way, you've got at least 12 months.

I thought it was just cut down on the price you get back from the gov, but there were no plans to get rid of it just yet.

Guys, i just called a gas conversion place, they confirmed that the rebate is definitely still around!!
