I think its in QLD only.
I have been trying to ring my girlfriend's mobile from work. Couldn't get through.
Finally got through after god knows how many tries, she tells me her and her mother have just been in a car accident, their brand new 2 week old Honda Accord written off after being t-boned at an intersection by none other than some stupid old bag who shouldn't even be driving.
Line went dead and it took me another few goes to get through again.
Damn floptus.
Yeah they are ok thankfully, her mum has a bit of bruising though.
The old woman got taken to hospital.
I just through again and they were doing the police report.
I am Optus and all's fine here.
Hope your GF & her mum are ok.Finally got through after god knows how many tries, she tells me her and her mother have just been in a car accident, their brand new 2 week old Honda Accord written off after being t-boned at an intersection by none other than some stupid old bag who shouldn't even be driving.

OPTUS outage hits queensland
OPTUS customers in Queensland have been left without fixed-line voice and mobile phone services after the telco's fibre optic cable was severed.
An Optus spokesperson said the cable was damaged at approximately 8am (AEST) this morning.
All Optus fixed-line voice calls and mobile services to and from Queensland are currently out of action. Internet browsing within the state to out-of-state servers were also affected.
The Optus spokesperson said the telco was working to fix the problem and was hoping repairs would be completed "soon".
Optus did not know the exact number of customers affected but it is understood that services to parts of Brisbane were restored around noon.
People trying to call Optus phones from other telephone networks are also affected by the outage.
In late January, Optus has scrambled to restore broadband service to corporate customers across Queensland following a major outage at one of its network facilities in Brisbane.
Bit of a dig,
But is it happening again????
I'm in Brisbane and my reception has been gone for a while now.....
Hmmm, I wonder if they will give me a months credit as a goodwill gesture?![]()
I'm with Soul, but they go through Optus.
Everytime I ring their help line I get put on hold for 40 minutes and then have to battle with an Indian call centre.
I recently went to Perth for business, and on my way to the Sheraton I saw the Soul building (i think it was on Riverside Drive, or pretty close to it), it was goddamn huge! What do they fill it up with?
Pfff credit? I waited 3 months...yes 3 months to have my home phone & internet connected. They gave me a $7.95 credit on my bill. Good luck with that lol.
Thats it ay, optus have done their lot with me. Time for a carrier change pathectic customer service aswell as crap deals.
Just rang them up, 50 mins later get some PMS ridden Indian bird that can barely speak at all let alone coherent English. She tries to tell me I haven’t paid my phone bill, bull****, rattle off the receipt number, "those funds haven’t been allocated to you account for some reason", my reply "when does my contract end?", "3 months", "yeah nar I’m sure ill be ending it b4 then", "can if you want I don’t really care", "will do then, thanks for just making up my mind to change carriers" hang up
