Name the 2nd Sydney AFL team
Some of you mexicans may be aware that the AFL is hoping to have a second Sydney team playing by 2012. A team based in, yes thats right, Western Sydney. Blacktown council are currently helping with the development of a $30 million stadium.
Now seriously! Will Sydney accept a 2nd AFL team? Is there enough supporters in Sydney for two teams? Particularly Western Sydney.
Now my question to you all is what will the team be called? 'Blacktown Bogans', 'Western Sydney Westies'? I like my AFL (Go Bombers) but can't see how it will survive.

hate to say it but rugby goin down hill fast, getting crowds of 9-15 thousand lately. AFL got 90thou a couple weeks ago, at a normal club game, NRL cant get that at origin.

honstly it was hard for me to decide between AFL & Rugby as im a born & bread Queenslander that moved to Victoria (worst decision yet) I kinda gave up on both and go for none
i think a darwin ,tasmania team is much more better idea as its a national code. Do think these are left out tasmania devils,darwin Reds,warriors,sharks,crocs, etc....

It won't work, but the AFL will prop it up and throw millions at it because they are determined to put one there for reasons best known to themselves.
call them the blacktown magpies..... collingwood should move there, they have enough bogans to support them

Yeah second that. I watched footy in Darwin a year ago, I've never seen such fast paced footy. The aboriginals are damn quick and the non indigenous (spelling?) players have to be quick to keep their spots. For that reason a Darwin team would dominate.
