Best Actor Oscar

Will we see the 2nd posthumously awarded Best Actor Oscar come January next year? Ironically the 22nd of January 2009, which would be the anniversary of his death. Yes, I'm referring to Heath Ledger.

Some people already think so... I can't wait to see The Dark Knight. Just from the Trailers, Heath Ledger looks like he's done an amazing job as The Joker.

Will reserve final judgement on my own question until I've seen the movie later this week.

You know i never really like batman movies but i watched batman begin the other night and it was actually quite good. Having rethought myposition on batman, I am actually looking forward to this movies aswell.
I like heath ledger two hands is a great movie and i've seen most of his others a good aussie actor. I cannot say whether he deserves an oscar for playing the joker but i'd hate to think they gave it to him out of pity.

Is it a coincidence that the PR about Ledger being nominated for an Oscar has been concentrated around the time the Batman movie being released? Sorry to say its just a hype to get more arses in the cinema, yes he was a good actor, but nothing extraordinarily special, its sad to see that the death of a person father son and actor being centered around a movie, reminds me of The Crow, now he’s a legend cause he dead.

I thought he does not fit in the movie as a joker due to his looks and acting style but after seeing that trailer looks like he did a damn fine job!!!!
