Well speeding is almost always part of the hooning act, apart from when doing skids and cutting nuts.

Probably book you and say they where speeding just to keep up with you:
To be honest though the cops up here seem to be more lax about modded cars/speeding than in other parts of australia, (hate to live in nsw) so i dunno... if you have cops that obey every law to the letter, then there probably gonna bust more people with the law down to the letter? *now sits back and awaits flaming*

Down here, people were done under hoon laws for doing 85 in a roadwork zone. Trucks were even done "hooning" due to speed related offences.
