Slow as hell... but nice to ride in/comfortable. One over here in W.A. with the plates ROADPACER. Some had some terrible colour scemes in the interior.

Very interesting to read the comments of the younger forum members who have never seen these things before.
Holden and Mazda had an arrangement during the HJ series in 1975 to export engineless Premiers to Japan where Mazda fitted their rotary engine, as already mentioned. The car was intended to be the top of the line luxo Mazda, but was a flop for all sorts of reasons, not the least of which would have been sluggish performance. The Roadpacer (typical dumb Jap name) only lasted for a very short period and was only intended for the Japanese domestic market. Any seen outside Japan would have been private imports (Question - why the hell would you bother?)
Imagine Mazda coming to the General today to supply cars under a similar arrangement....not!

A car so rare it has the low low starting bid of $1.00 lol.

Is it just me, or is the name "Wankel" effing hilarious?![]()
