    Question Wilful Damage

    G'Day Ppl,

Just reading on here, and other Forums about 'Damage'.
My Family have The Statey, a BMW, a Skyline and Laser(323)

    How many Park their car(s):-
    in a garage/under the House,
    under carport,
    in their yard,
    on the street/footpath.

It's a Crying shame to see the amount of Wilful damage some do to others property.

    Me?

Mate I'm lucky at the moment we've got a double garage for both the cars, but the wife and I are looking at building a house and it will only have a single one, it will be nice for the VX not sure the wife will like getting ice off her windows on a cold winter morning in Canberra.

    Mate

I garage my car, lock /alarm it and the garage has dead bolts.
There's a few baseball bats lying around at strategic places too for easy access.

I find it strange that some people in our street buy new cars and then leave them out in the weather.

One bloke has a double garage full of crap; like stuff that he says he's 'gonna' restore (Yeah about 8 years ago and nothings been restored). I reckon the total contents of the garage would equate to $800 dollars worth of stuff but they have two new cars that sit outside whilst the crap in the garage is protected

Another guy has 2 brand new cars, he's a classic! He converted the 2 car garage into a one car garage and parks two brand new cars out in the open
He's the same person that puts in a massive new pool in his backyard whilst we are in drought and then backflushes the pool filter so that the water runs down the kerb and into a local creek.

Next door neighbours have 2 brand new cars and they garage both.

All the other people with new cars garage their cars

2 guys I worked for years back; one had a clubby that he could of garaged but the garage was full of **** so he couldn't get it in. But he use to love having his car washed and polished every week.

The other bloke had a double garage; they owned a BMW sports plus a Range Rover Vogue; both cars sat in the driveway because the double garage ended up as a dog kennel for their well groomed puppies.

Oh, yeah; both guys had no respect for the sydney water restrictions; one of them had his automated sprinkler system come on at 2 o'clock in the morning to water his beautifully manicured lawn and the other bloke would flood his paddocks so they looked green.

Seems to be a correlation here

And as for damage; just stolen cars but I reckon a few of the ********s don't visit our street much now because there's this mad prick that chases non-respectful people with a pick handle. "Word gets around"

We have 2 driveways, both have lock up garages. We have not once left our cars out the front of a night.

The only damage I have ever had done to my (old) car while it was home was the nephew of our neighbour was house sitting for them and he was playing golf in his back yard, ball came over the fence and smacked onto my bonnet, he paid for it to be fixed though.

Another one is ppl smacking trolley's & doors into my car when I'm shopping, but I have a "Parents with prams" permit now and the parks are as wide as Disabled parking bays, so that seems to be helping.

Always lock and alarm my cars in the alarmed garage - even if I go out and come home knowing I'll be going out again. No point not using it if it's there... The Ford lives on the driveway though - the comprehensive insurance policy on it is just the steering wheel lock. I don't care too much about it though. I'm about to spend twice as much on a new mountain bike!!! lol

Aaron why not build a triple - if you're building a house that is. No point in single garages imo.

All 3 of my cars are behind a locked roller door. The only way there getting into my yard is via the back neighbors yard. And even then, 2 cars are usually in the locked shed.

At work i have an agreement with the security guards, so i'm looked after there too

Not going to go into great details on the net or that would defeat all security lol.

BUT car is locked away in gagrage all the time, excpet for some circumstances. Car is locked when in the shed, and h/u face removed. If the car isnt going to be driven for a while or i have gone away, then the car is disabled and secured in a number of ways, aswell as extra security on the shed.

Mums car though which is worth a heap more then mine, is parked in the driveway, all the time, though is always locked and right near my bedroom window, aswell as security cameras/lights.

    hmm sounds like a challenge.....ill give it a go....where ya live :P:P

as for me we have (let me count) 6 cars....ones a wreck though (we live on 2 and half acres) 2 are garaged (parents VN and old land cruiser) and the others Vn and VS (mine) are parked out front of garage and a VP (sis car) also parked out front of garage. No fence.....road is about 4 meters from cars so quite easily can be stolen lol but where i live no one really steals...in fact i haven't herd of a car getting stolen in about 2 months from around here

its funni though as my VS is the newest of the lot (and still quit new lol) and it stays out side...not for long though haha
