    Default E-Tax fault

Just wondering if anyone else if having the same fault with e-tax:

I finished entering all the data and had just printed and saved when it detected an update.

So I downloaded and installed the update.

I restarted the program, it asks to check for updates, none detected, loads my file, then wants to updates again, then wants to reload my file, then check updates and now my e-tax program is in this loop where it loads my file and checks updates.

I restarted my PC, same problem.

Downloaded a fresh copy of e-tax, same problem.

Anyone else cursed with this issue.? I was right about to lodge my tax return when this happened too.

I might just have to redo my tax I think.

the loop, as soon as you load your file, it asks for updates, then when it sees there is no updates, it asks to load your file again, then checks for updates etc.

i have had both these probs.
the dll file i couldnt fix. the third comp i loaded etax onto worked.
the prob with the update occured when i was doing the third return. i was clicking no to check for updates but when i went to lodge the return it said that etax has found an update and it needs to install it. i let it install which then when i went back to the return i was doing i had to answer the deductions section onwards again.

You should be using the lastest version to do your tax. When you installed a fresh copy did you un-install the previous copy first? If not, do that, then restart, then install the new copy.

Strange, must have just been a problem because you didn't update before you started using it? Which is what it recommends.

Strange though. I would have done what minux said and instead of pressing check for updates, just press next.

Used it for a while now and never had a glitch! very happy with the program and the service.

Yeah it was strange because the original file worked until it detected an update and it states you can't lodge until you have updated, and because I wanted to lodge I had to update. Oh well, just a glitch I guess.
