Default Most stupid mod you have done to your car?

Ok guys fess up... What is the most stupid mod you have done to your car.

I'll kick it off. The first month I had my SV6 I noticed that when it rained the wiper blades just sat on top of the water and spread it around, didn't do a good job at all. So I went to super cheap auto to get some refills. So many options.... The most expensive was these coloured silicon Aunger refills at $10, pretty cheap really. There was a myriad of colours, red, blue, purple, white, black, grey, yellow. I thought "my car is blue, I'll get blue refills!" On the packet it was a nice mid blue, similar shade to my car.

Get home to slot them in and open the packet... it was a god awful baby blue. I didn't realise how bad they looked at the time.... it wasn't until I was heading to my car after work one day I realised how gay they actually looked. For the moment I'll keep them because they do a seriously awesome job, but I think I'll get a better colour next time...

To be honest I don't think I have ever modded a car :O Tho I do have a full standard turbo charge set up for my VL sitting under my bed.

But I think the first non factory mod will be an intercooler or boost gauge.

I think we have a winner

For me, it was spending money on my first car - a Mazda 626. Money wasted on mags and lowering, when I should have been saving up for a Commodore

In terms of stupid things done to Holdens:

    1) Putting my old ceptors on the statesman. I took them off the next week (granted, I only put them on because they had tread on the tyres. The second I could afford new tyres, I bought some for the stato rims )

Dude, your ute looks mad, I wish I could get wheels like yours, but the wife stole the calais and can't afford wheels anyways, stuck with the calais rims.

The worst mod I did to a car of mine was a large dent in the right hand rear door of my old wagon, it was mint before that

I had a camera mount that attached to the window via suction pad, but was no good place to put it, so i screwed in a steel plate to the dash so i attach it to that, hence the 3 screw holes left in my dash.

When I got my 1st car I did the whole neons and parkers thing. Probably turned them on about twice and they only stayed in there a couple months

Not sure if this counts as a mod, but we've got a Series IIA Land-Rover thats sitting out in the paddock, has been sitting there for the past 4 years, because neither Dad nor I have had the time to replace an axle on it (which literally snapped in half). In that 4 years, a weed has grown up between the tray and the cab, and has filled up most of the cab. Its gone from being a car to being a bonsai. It makes me sad every time I look at it - I should really think about fixing it some day.

Pin holes in my air filter. Took me 20 min of pricking the thing for nothing.
    Changed it the next day.
