We have a funeralthis Monday the 4th of Aug for my Dads best friend and boss, he was the owner of Geelong Harley and the funeral is going to be huge, coming from a bike background these type of funerals are all part and parcel for me but how do other people feel when there town is over run by bikes and rough looking leather clad boys and girls? is it anoying?, or intimidating? or are most of us not fussed?
I dont drink these days. I am allergic to alcohol and drugs. I breakout in handcuffs!
The less people know about how sausages and laws are made, the better they'll sleep at night.
Sorry to hear about the passing of your Dad's mate.
LOL My dad and his mates took over Geelong often. My dad used to be a bikie![]()
I'm not fussed, I remember when I was about 6 the Bandito's were on a run up to Brisbane and they came past our place in North Geelong (along the highway) and Dad made us all stand out the front, they all waved etc, so like you, I was raised around all the rough boys, they are all like family, people who don't know them personally assume they are all tough assholes, they can be, but the ones I know I class as family and wouldn't have any issues having my kids around them either.
And add to that they have some hell wikkid parties!
dont bother them they wont bother you. i used to have a beer with a bloke that was part of the Finks. some of them are really good blokes
I can't understand why some of them ride those bikes with handle bar thing they hold on to above their heads??
I mean seriously WTF???
I knew a few people in bike gangs, generally top blokes no different to anyone else except sometimes their gangs do vicious things, individually they are fine.
General rule in life is dont f**K with anyone, be them lawyers, bikies, politicians or mormon.
It seems everyone knows a bikey these days so somehow a couple of hundred chapter members seem to know 20 million people in Australia lol
Our family has a close group of friends that are bikies (won't mention the names or anything, as they aren't really MY mates, but mum and dad's mates), but most people think they are all bad blokes who sell drugs, shoot people, start fights etc etc.
99% of bikies you meet, are bloody top blokes, and there is no reason to be scared of bikies unless you do wrong by them. They don't harm anyone who didn't have it coming to them, and they keep to themselves.
You'd be surprised, most of them have decent jobs and are just hard working Aussie's like most of us.
Exactly, take a look at the scum buckets who roam the streets or Geelong & Melbourne, the 2 gangs (actually I think there is 3 or 4 in Geelong now) they will rob anyone they don't give a ****, the difference is the cops are not scared of them scum buckets so people assume they have it under control.![]()
I lived in a small country town years ago and the Jokers had a holiday shack in a neighbouring fishing villiage. They came in for a drink at the footy club one night and i got talking with a few senior members, Anyway this young lad, also a member or atleast in waiting, came upto the President (i figure as this guy gave the orders) and told him he was gonna take a local outside and sort him out. Turns out the young lad had said something to the local lads missus and it was gonna be on.
I was blown away when the President told him it was his problem and that so long as it was one on one there would be no intervetion from club members, thats as far as the fight went, turns out he was gutless without his mates back up.
I had an awesome night with them, no pressure, no hassles and lots of amber stuff![]()
My dad is one of those smart asses, always toeing the line but he always had the back up of his mates, they do it for a bit of fun. And he has some wikkid stories lol. Actually funny thing, the other week I went to shave his head for him and OMG the dents in it, best part is he knows exactly who did it and with what. He wont forget it too soon.
That is why he now lives in a small town in WA, he's getting away from all that, getting a bit old for it all now.
oops I started a thread and left, as for the handle bars the big "ape hangers" look awesome, you would'nt want to ride around all day in them but they still make you look! I think as semi hoons on here and lovers of cars bikes etc we can all sort of understand that large groups of bikes does not mean run for the hills but there is so much intolerance these days for bikes it astounds me, I mean look at what happens when you catch a Greyhound bus! rather take my chances with a bunch of bikes thanks!

As long as the funeral is around whittington or Corio they should all blend in fine. Bikies don't phase me, maori's scare me more![]()

Almost right, its still up in the air if it WAS the diving that did it but he does not have a son so you might be a little mixed up?
Its being held in a reception centre as there is not a church big enough over there to hold us all, there are guys who have come from in the states as well, could be bigger than I thought?
