I've tried the Woolworths own brand one "fresh" not frozen, wasn't too bad..
I just bought a chicken one "Pasta Master" brand, and its pretty crappy, tastes like canned spaghetti mixed with chicken...
anyone else tried any? lol
Can't say i have had ANY good pre-made lasagne. The only decent lasagne i have ever had was made from scratch.
I'm Italian so Lasagne has only ever been homemade for me. Same goes for pasta sauces, pizza and sometimes the pasta itself
yeh homade is best but if u want a decnt one Ubaldi make which is nice sara lee and maggi are shizzzzzzzzen also Aldi brand one is half bad

the only good frozen one i have had is McCaine ..... very nice .... but would rather a fresh homemade one any day
HONESTLY OFFICER, IT WAS CONSECUTIVE U TURNS..
Homemade all the way, my wife makes a killer lasagne!
All pre-made frozen lasagne is **** house,if you want a descent one make one yourself.
premade can be good, the ONE that was nice was bought from woolworth & is made at the store itself.
Anyway its about 30 minutes to make sauce & mince then an hour for baking not hard at all
aldi FTW!, best premade lasagna for sure, ive had the woolies one aswell and it dosnt taste anywhere near as good, good size and cheap too

being italian myself id say theres not a whole lot of differance between a good off the shelf premade (not mcain/cheap frozen) and homemade lasagne. if you want a good tasting pasta the only way is to make the pasta fresh yourself & make the meat/sauce with authentic ingridients. you wouldnt belive the difference just using a quality oil, homemade sheets/pasta & fresh ingridients can make.
No frozen lasagne is going to compete with a homemade lasange.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
lol @ white sauce, for me, i use homemade pasta and the white sauces is egg wash and ricotta, anything else kills the flavour.

if you melt the ricotta down its a white sauce!

cudos, got taught that by an old french pastry chef. works a treat.
Sara Lee make a pretty decent Lasagne, its a large one, about 6 servings worth, but as far as pre cooked ones go, its the best in my book.
Cant beat homemade though

It's not white sauce, it's Besciamella.
My wife is Italian, her grandmother makes the best lasagne I have ever tasted. Traditional all the way. It depends on your tastes though.
My opinion is that there is no good premade lasagne, or any pasta dish.
x2 for the Sara Lee Lasange..... mmmmmmmm
My mum is Italian, was born in Trieste.
I can't stand the ready made stuff from the supermarket.
I buy the egg pasta and make the sauces myself, from recipes translated from an old Triestina cookbook my mum has.
