Hey all, long time Saints supporter here.

I didnt know until this morning that he had announced it. (i knew he was leaving at seasons end)

Didnt see it on the news, as i was asleep due to work.

But bloody well done to him, been watching him play since i was a young tacker, met him a few times, see him around Frankston abit (at his shop, when he is in there)

True that mate, i'm a Pies supporter (not a great time to be :S) but iv'e admired Harvey's ability for so long, unbelievable that he's been playing his best up until he's retired.

The man is a legend...and that's coming from a Crows supporter!

Still one of the classiest, most talented players in the AFL, it's a shame he never won a premiership, cos he deserves it...shame about '97!

Still played another season even though the tough melbourne journalists were picking him off bit by bit. Great player. Do you think he would make a good Assistant Coach or something at that Gold Coast club maybe?

20 years, what a career! And retiring at 37, he is going to live a long life being that fit. Good on him.

every player has a bad game or year etc.. journo's are jsut doing there jobs.

As for a assistant coach or coach... id say give hima couple of years out of it, and he may.
I think he will join the saints board, as did nathan burke after he'd finished up.

But one thing im hoping Banga does, is goes to more local footy matches.... he may do the aussie jones and go back to his roots...

If Harvey had 30 or more touches the other team just about had no hope.

The stats would be telling - games when Harvey got more than 30 touches and the Saints lost - probably not all that often.

Onya Harvey - no more will he cut the Crows down in 10 mins of footy!
