as the title suggests... what was the one toy you always wanted as a kid but you never got. ONE toy only... and also post if you still want one.


for me, it is the original lego pirate ship. i have wanted that thing since the day it came out. when i was in primary school we had a raffle, first place was the pirate ship, second place was the smaller ship and i cant remember what third was. mum made me a deal that if i washed up every school night for a week she would buy me a ticket. the raffle went for 5 weeks and i had 5 tickets but didnt win.

recently i have been missing something in my life and i worked out what it was... a lego pirate ship. ive been looking on ebay and most of the ones i have found are cheap copies. i was bidding on one tonight but pulled out at 190 bucks. yes, i really REALLY want to buy one!

Yep i always wanted the lego world with the train set, But mum couldn't afford that, My cousin was the closet to getting it, He had a table full of them, And about 2 trains.

i had one of them years and years ago, can still remember the day i woke up on christmas & put it together

also had the entire monorail set which included a large track that went on the ground & in the air on stands, also had a mobile command centre built in.

Yeah I loved lego when I was a young tacker, still have all my sets today, saving them for my future kids. Always wanted the lego space shuttle setup, never got it. I had some wicked ones like the fire engine, aquashark and aqua sub submarines. I used to make my own space craft and drag racers out of all my parts and won prozes in the local show for them.

Well I had all I wanted, no toys but animals. Always had Horses and they took up too much time, no time for toys lol.

I honestly don't remember ever having 1 toy.

always wanted a Tamiya remote controlled off road buggy. couldnt afford one, and ended playing with matchbox cars. now more than 3 decades later, i got 5 remote controlled cars...(just reliving my childhood i guess)...

i got one of those lego kits. the technical series which you build with motors and lights. i have the helicopter kit but dono where some of the pieces are.

well, i absolutly loved lego as a kid and have always thought the pirate ship was the jewel in the crown. i dont want it to play with, i just want to build it and sit it on the shelf. i guess i more want it on principal. the worst part is, mum and dad couldnt afford it when i was a kid and every time i see one on ebay it slips though my fingers and it seems like the one thing i have wanted for nearly 20 years is never going to happen.

The one toy I wish I still had is jetfire from robotech.
It is a transformer from plane to half plane/robot to robot.

I broke it They are still around but cost about $90 second hand.

I was pretty lucky as a kid. I had transformers, lego and heaps of cars.

The one I didn't get was a peewii 50 (wouldn't have made much sense in a townhouse though)

Ive got that pirate ship. I used to LOVE lego still do really, but ive got it along with heaps of the old Castle lego stuff. Ive got tons of it laying around. My little brother thought it was fun to break it all the time.

Anyway the one toy i always wanted was this little magic set i saw, it was like 50 bucks and being 8 i had no money. I begged mum for it like everyday and all i got was a smack on the bum. No dice.

power rangers can eat a dick! voltron for the win! i had green lion and red lion, my brother had yellow lion and the black lion, but we couldn't work together to build a one armed voltron. (neither of us had blue lion)
