Nope, when I was 4 years old Dad and his mates recon they seen a panther run across our paddock, then he seen it again near the You Yangs.... mind you back then my dad was full of grog 99.9% of the time as were his mates... But he still swears by it now.

I doubt there's a big foot hiding in the statesin deepest darkest Russia maybe... at least there USED to be other human species recently in Europe so that has more of a chance.
In my little area in south west vic there well several (100's? maybe) very believable sightings of Tasmanian tigers from reliable people as late as the 1960s but I haven't heard of anyone claiming to have seen one in the last 30 years, but there are groups of people with cameras in the forest waiting/looking.
Someone sent me a picture once yearrrrrrs ago that was a scan from the Queensland meseum archives? I think? or a private collection, it was all very myseterious. But is was of a animal called a Qeensland tiger. It's was a very old picture from 1900 ish or even older than that, clearly a real picture of a real animal that was related to a tasmania tiger, I don't have the picture anymore and I'm suprised it doesnt exsist on the net when I had a search for it. I don't know much about it other than the picture I got sent it had different stripes/markings. Anyway I think the times allready up for all these things that may have still been around 100 years ago

P.S I've seen a dark/black heavy set creature when I was a kid it was walking down a fire road in the daylight in a pine forest near Mount Gambier. You could probably say it was a panther but it was way too thick, half way to a bear thickness really and slow walking
