exhaust rules in QLD
just curious as to the rulings in QLD about exhaust ...such as DB ratings and if you need a muffler (ie...straight through from cat back) as me mate wants a exhaust that is straight through from cat back with no muffler/s just on single pipe (he is an idiot)..
is it legal though?

and im pretture sure u need to follow the same design as the factory one.. like mounts and number of mufflers

Let me guess.......... he doesn't have the cash to fork out for a decent exhaust system? Let him do it!! Then you and everyone who comes in contact with the car can **** themselves laughing when he drives it because it will sound gay, and he will get defected for it

i presume ur friends car is a V6 commo?
if thats the case then tell him v6's need an exhuast system not a drain pipe :P

he "thinks" it sounds good cause he wants it loud and one of his mates "supposeably" has no mufflers and just straight through from cat back......and yeh he has no cash...no job...now he is saying he will see what happens...but he is still saying that i should have gotten no mufflers with my system..(mine is a 2.5 inch redback system with the muffler and rear resi) but i like mine and it sounds good....not like absolute **** :P
meh time will tell and when/if he gets it (if the exhaust place will make it/fit it) i will be there when he sees how much of a **** car it will really sound
anyway hes car is a vs calais and he treats it like ****.....so what he do? not gonna buy 2 new rear tyres as there ****ed and nearly about to explode!!! not gonna at least look into new struts/shockies (lowered) as at the moment i dont think the shocks are doing anything as it feels like the spring is the only thing bouncing (feels very dangerous)....gearbox is slipping......oh did i mention that he dont know **** about cars? lol fair enough he has no money....but if u knew him u will soon know where his money goes (not on drugs etc...but on computer/xbox games...)
all in all im glad he now lives 30 min away and not 2 min away so everytime something goes wrong with his car he cant just say hey come round for a min lol

hi yeah obout the mufflers and what not you have to have at least one muffler i don't have a rear resonator on mine (not by choice i needed a new exhaust urgently and the shop slapped one up) and my mate put a straight through pipe on hsi vy and its sounds like $--t
