    Default Anime

    Sup all,

Just wondering which anime series you would recommend. It has to be english dubbed or watever. I don't want english subtitles! I'm trying to watch a show not read it.

I've watched Neon Genesis Evangelion, which I liked. But a lot of anime is of course japenese and english subtitled.

Anyone know of any english ones?

Thx for the replies, I'll have a watch for some of the ones suggested.
I've never really been into anime until I watched Evangelion. But I've watched every episode now I need something new.
Dragon Ball Z is good and also GT but dont like the original Dragon Ball.

    hellsing - awesome vampire stuff.

samurai champloo - samurai stuff plus hip hop from the people who did cowboy bebop

The Boondocks - a us anime-ish series, lots of celebrity voices, pretty funny

Evangelion - a classic, just don't watch the movies, well some of them, they wrecked the story and made alternate (dumb) endings

Full Metal Alchemist - rad, a bit steampunk

Elfen Lied - a bit trippy, crazy mutant chicks with invisible tentacles ripping people up.

If you like Initial D, you might also like Wangan Midnight.
If you liked Neon Genesis Evangelion, you might also like Rahxephon.
If you like Gundam you might also like Full Metal Panic

I have a fair few anime in my collection. I have been trying to keep up with Bleach, Naruto and Wangan Midnight but have been caught up with a few dramas so I haven't been updating it much.

Elfen Lied is probably one of the most complex animes I have seen. Almost every episode leaves you a twist or something to think about. In the end nothing really made much sense because its a part here and a part there. People were expecting the second series but that hasn't happened yet.

Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex is interesting addon to Ghost in the Shell with the introduction of AI spider robots named tachikoma. There is another series which is already out apart from GITS:SAC is project innocence. I haven't watched that one yet.

I am used to watching Japanese dubbed with English subtitles after getting used to seeing movies on SBS and what not. So my collection ends up mostly as the same as my preference because not only do they keep the original actors emotions and feelings being portrayed on the anime, it somewhat helps me a bit with learning Japanese. Mind you I have previously studied Japanese and talked to a few Japanese people before.

Still watching Bleach, Up to episode 180. Watching it with english subtitles now
Death Note was an awesome series aswell!! It's out now in english too.
FullMetal Alchemist was another great series.
Elfen Lied was pretty cool, about a girl with 2personalities with invisible arms that rips people apart.

I'm looking for something else to watch... any recommendations??
I'm after something with a target audience of late teens/adults. Something with a good amount of episodes but not something that drags on (so no DBZ), Bleach has been alright but it's starting to drag. I prefer English dubbed, but guess I could live with subtitles.

i will watch anime in japanese with english subs because most english dubs are shocking (naruto, one piece) a few animes i watch include Naruto / Naruto Shippuuden, One Piece, Bleach, Initial D, Wangan Midnight, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (this is one of the most awesome animes ever), D. Grayman, Fairytail, Needless (also a awesome anime) and there are many more i have seen. Some i would recommend but in Japanese with English subtitles are One Piece, GTO, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Initial D and Code Geass

Dragonball, Z, GT, took up a lot of my social life and internet limit.
Im looking forward to the digitally remastered boxset coming out hopefully soon, itd be a good collectors item, and to watch in a higher definition.

i also loved Zoids, all of the series, and i chipped my wii and downloaded some of the japanese and english games released on gamecube, and they are actually alot of fun.
