    Default Product Recalls

We brought a dishlex dishwasher about 10 months ago, so far we've had 3 recalls on it, due to an electrical safety issue. The service tech says that this will hopefully be the last time.

The initial problem was that the person plugging the main connection into the front panel wasn't doing their job properly hence a few arked out and one or two caught fire, this was back in March. Then about a month ago he had to come back out and check it again. Today, he came back out and replaced the connection / switch in the front.

Fortunately we haven't had any issues with ours, and all the work has been done as a precautionary measure.

I'm sure it's been a nice and expensive exercise for electrolux.

Anyone else had multiple product recalls? Should have gone the Asko!!

Tell me about it, we have the same dishwasher and we're currently waiting to have it fixed under warranty.

I had a gas / oven cooker sent back the day it was purchased. The automatic ignition part of the gas coil was faulty. The shop took it back, apologized and offered me a refund or a direct replacement at no extra charge. The manager even offered me a discount coupon on my next purchase. Though it was my first product with that asian brand, the action of the sales manager made me want to purchase other items.

Cant say the same for nameless clones from China...buy cheap buy twice...
