Thoughts on George Carlin

Just reciently going through some old video clips and came across some of George Carlin. He has got to be my favorite comedian yet. He just has such a great view on life that will make you think twice about the world that is happening around you, and most points he makes are hilarious. After watching one of his DVD's "Life isnt worth living", I had to jump on youtube and check out his other stuff. I then thought id do a bit of a profile check on him which I then found he passed away about 2 weeks before hand, which was bit of a downer. Anywho, get on to some of his stuff. I think MOST will enjoy. Most who are open minded and dont get too easily offended anyway.

May 12, 1937 – June 22, 2008

On June 22, 2008, Carlin was admitted to St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California after experiencing chest pain. He died later that day at 5:55 p.m. PDT of heart failure at the age of 71. Carlin worked right up until the end. His death occurred just one week after his last performance at The Orleans hotel and casino in Las Vegas. In accordance with his wishes, Carlin was cremated, with his ashes scattered, and no public or religious services of any kind were held.

Sorry but after watching one clip on you tube just now, I am with Minux - not funny at all. But then I also dislike American comedy - American's are just not funny.

Even if he's not funny, the one thing I like is that he is straight about issues. Who would think that there is such thing as god? in jesus land, you see signs about religion almost everywhere.

Yeah not all is funny, some is, some isnt. But he sure as hell makes some damn good points.

F*&k yeah he's funny! Love his stuff on the airplane safety lecture. Funny stuff. Got some of his live shows around here somewhere...
