Default death in elizabeth downs, sa

Deadly stretch on SA roads - Yahoo!7 News

Saw this last night when i was working, never go to see the car as the road was blocked off, this is the second accident in the same spot within this year, i believe a 5yo boy was killed when he was hit by a car at exact same spot
feel sorry for the 22year old family.

i dont know what to say. its sad to see anyone lose their life in such a horrible and horrific way. especially so young, why is this particular stratch of road deadly? is speed the main contributing factor? is it poor road maintenance?

well its a 60kph road, but its right infront of a small shops centre about 10 shops and a school crossing, the road is in reasonable condition, but i rekon it could drop speed to 50kph as its sad its young people dying on this road

I think you'll find speeding and/or driver inattention were to cause for this crash. If you lower a speed limit based on this, we'd all be waking everywhere.

i wouldn't say the stretch of road is dangerous All of the time, i used to live just off it. it was a popular spot for the hoons out that way for drags and burnouts so was mckenzie rd just up the road from where the crash was.

I agree with stealthy with what he said. I think it is sad that people have lost their lives but if we lowered the speed limit on every road that a child or anybody for that matter, dies on from a car accident we'd all be doing 10km/h.
