Yeah - post processing on over 350 14Mb 3888x2592 raw files is going to take some time though... But I'm impressed with the new equipment so far.

You could always reduce them and change them to jpeg
Just curious, why do you use raw files, obviously theirs an advantage over jpeg but what is it? And what type of camera are you using? DSLR?

First thing I do is resize to 1920x1280 and convert to .jpg format and backup externally. At least that way I still have SOMETHING backed up if the worst happens.
Then with the raw data, I fix whatever needs fixing, sharpen here, stop fix there, etc then redo the convert process (over-writing).

I wouldn't explain it very well...
Raw image format - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
FYI the shots I took at Eastern Creek today were taken using the Canon EOS 40D with the Canon 100-400mm EF f/4.5-5.6 L IS USM lens.

Why dont you just shoot raw + jpeg? Makes life easier, then you run the jpg's through a batch image resize as proofs.
Only thing raw is good for is adjusting white balances and tones. Sharpening, levels, curves etc should be done in photoshop for best results.
Pics come up good.

card memory minux... I only have two 8Gb Extreme III's at the moment.
I do like that logic though.
Oops - yeah, the sharpening is done on the jpg in Photoshop. Tone fixes and over/under exposure is fixed in raw.

In raw only, one car had a capacity of just over 600 pictures. Average of 12-14 Mb per raw picture.

Yes it is!
And you are right - he had it at Shannons Wheels... It is an awesome machine. In as good condition today as it was when it was racing around Bathurst! And he still races it quite a lot too.

Awesome day and gr8 that the weather was so nice and warm pretty much up to the last few races when it cooled off
I loved that they didn't just do exhibition laps they pushed the cars as hard as they would go! made for an entertaining day!
We were on turn two, was awesome! even had one guy who thought it was quicker to drift around the corner!
