Any Pig Hunters on here?

My husband goes out and I was just wondering if there are any hunters on here?
What dogs are you running?

havent done any yet. i plan to tho. im into alot of bow shooting i also use rifles but i pefer to shoot with a bow much more interesting. where abouts does your husband go

We live near Proston but he goes out at Durong, also got some deer property at Biggenden and some land at Maryborough also Bundy but he hasn't been to them ones yet.

i dont know where any of those places are except for bundy . iv only been up here for 3 years so im pretty new. been trying to plan a trip to st george west of brisane. heard its really good round there for pigs

Yeah well if you have heard of Dalby we are about an hour and half from there. Surely you have heard of Maryborough you go through it to get to Hervey Bay.
Yeah apparently St George has a few pis. The fella Chris goes with has hunted for the last 30 yrs and hes been all over.

yea go out everynow and then dont have my own dogs used to but now just use my mates we use a few diff dogs dependin on size of pigs and where we are usually use a pitty xs and grate dane grey hound good speed and strenthg to catch and hold till other dogs get there

Yeah Chris has a Great Dane X Mastiff, that he uses and a pitty/bully/boxer/staghound but she hasn't been out.

Aint been shooting in ages didn't do it last year due to being to dry and hot

When i was a kid i used to go wild pig hunting with my uncle near his farm up in Queensland. Mainly rifles but he also had a few bows which he taught me to use. Havent done it in 8 years... bit of a shame

Going next weekend to a property up north from where i work. Have some really great properties that dont let any other people on there at all.
Weather it is bows, dogs, or just rifle shooting, it is all fun to me and makes a good weekend with a couple of mates.
Do you go hunting with him? Or do you let him have his boys weekend away?
I bow shot a deer last week and I hung it for the meat and we will be making some nice smoked wust and venison steaks from it. MMMM!

Oh wow another fella from Kingas. I would love to go out hunting with him, but I have the 2 kids to watch.
He hasn't been for awhile as his ute isn't registered, hes hoping to get it on the road this friday, then get a dog box made etc.
I had a fella ring up this morning wanting to know when our next lot of pups are coming. which my dogs not in pup as we have just got rid of her last litter. He wants 1 for himself and his mates want 3. So thats pretty cool. Atleast we know we can get rid of them.
Chris would love to get out more often.
