    Default yes.....another p plater thread....BUT!!!

now i know there are allot of these threads however was just watching the news and they said (this is for QLD) that there considering a complete ban on p plater's (red and green).....didn't mention learner drivers, between the hours of 10 pm and 6 am.......Ok ..i work nights and get home at all sorts of hours...and i know a fair few others also do, so how is this gonna be? like will i get fined/loose license, when coming home from work? or on me way to work?

the same if p platers get caught in traffic for a couple of hours and go over 10 pm...they will loose license....this law there trying to bring in will be soo bloddy stupid it ain't funny

all this cause some retard (yes a p plater!!) decided to carry 6 people in a small hatch back thing and lost controll!!.....well duh!

    well that my complaining lol

Well im sure you could apply for exemption for it. but i highly doubt it would ever get brought in, NSW has laws so you cant have more then 1 passenger between similar hours to that. thatd be sufficient just the government being retarded as per usual

They can do what they want, and sadly this in the eyes of joe public would be solving something (what i'll never know).

Honestly mate i wouldnt be to worried about it. By the time the new legislation was passed you would probally be off your P's. I know it took something like two years for the new laws in Vic to come into action, that was on top of the 6 + months debating and what not.

Even then the older P platers were exempt.

Except unfortunately for P platers, there is a higher percentage of dicks in that group that keep encouraging the government to instate rules like this.

Personally I think there should be a points system on P's for minor infringements, like no p plates etc. But speeding or irresponsible driving results in automatic 3 month suspension or more depending on severity. But make P's only 1 year, instead of 3, a license suspension results in a reset of your P's period.. It'll get the idiots off the road real quick, and either teach them a leson, or they'll be stuck on their p's for their lifetime.

Screw curfews and all that jazz, it won't save lives, just discourage P platers for displaying their plates.

Exactly true...when I first got my Ps (before the new red/green laws came into vic) I was always hounded by cops asking for license checks...Had to use a trailer so i took off Ps, had off for about 2 months and not one cop pulled me over...But me mum yelled at me I've put on the green ones now, but still no cops...Not sure if its because chance, or because they don't give a rats about the greens...But i have a friend who had no Ps from start till finish and he was driving a VT SS Turbo, super low, darkest legal tints, and didnt get pulled over once....would even do burn outs while cops were around (had a cop friend teach him how "police drive")...Where there are laws, there is always someone breaking it...
