Bathurst 2008!!!!!

Hey guys,
Thought I'd start a bit of a chat about this years bathurst, seeing as its coming up in a few weeks.

So whose going?
Whose camping on the mountain?
Who is hell uber mega keen like me?
What shenanigans are you planning?

Ill be camping up there for almost a week with a few mates, and all the boys from the "No **** Hotel"

Me and some mates are hopefully road tripping up in a crap box van we are going to look at tmorrow, should be a lot of fun and games

Yeah they are, mega gay. Last year they stole 3 or 4 slabs off us the bastards.
They promised to give them back on the monday, then when we went to get them, they said no deal the council took them, load of crap.

Word of advice, only take once slab per person per day other wise they will rape you, unless you can hide them real good.
But when we got there we had about 8 cops go through everything in the hilux we took up, including our clothes bags.

A slab a day.... Just take a slab of long necks, or double (platinum etc, their 8%).

Are you allowed to take in straigh spirits, like a bottle of jack?

I plan on going next year when I have my licence and camping on the hill, had it planned for years lol.

Nah its 24 CANS of full strength, 30 lights. 24 premix or a casket of wine. No stubbies or glass allowed so i would assume a bottle of jim would be out.

Yeah it would be pretty easy one would think. It would definallty help if you went last year and had a look at the ways the coppers at the gate checked for drinks.

I can just see the guys before they head up there, everyones thinking of smuggling ideas.

A few years ago I stayed with a freind whos parents live on Conrod. They didn't even check our car because we had residents passes. I could have loaded up my ute and sold slabs for 70 bucks each. I reckon I would have made a killing!

Ive heard last year was a let down from the years before hand, but last year was my first and i loved it!!!!

I took a bottle of jimmy last year as well but i didnt even touch it, mixing drinks up there is too much of a pain, especially when your walkin round everywhere and bein stupid, and mega wasted.....

I'm going over with a mate. Staying in Blayney...even when booking in January it was all I could get. We're gonna hire a car and drive it up on Thursday, then we get bused to and from the track everyday. There is some drivers party thing in town on Friday night, we're going to that too. I might have to grab some numbers off some people and try and catch up over the weekend.
