Well who's going and who's going to win?
Me being a cats man i'd love to see them go back to back but i can't help thinking that mabye it's the hawks turn this year.
They've just belted the saints and looked impressive, buddy did bugger all and they still romped home.
Just got a bad feeling......hope i'm wrong.![]()
Should be a good game, but cats all the way.
GO CATS!!!

Have seen both the cats and Hawks in the last 3 weeks, Hawks have been more impressive, I think they can do it, if they don't wobble under the big pressure of the biggest stage.

I think it will be a very close game. The Hawks are good enough to beat the cats, so don't be suprised if they get up!
Can't base your prediction on the two games just played. Last year the cats just scraped in against the pies, i was at that game and was one of their worst games for the year. Port flogged north then got cleaned up by a record margain the next week. I think the hawks are a much better all round side than port were so makes for a good game. I think it will be won in the midfield.
I agree with your point about the midfield. Both teams have great attack and defence. Getting the ball forward effectively will be the key. Saw it Friday in the last quarter where the doggies would move the ball out of defence well but just couldn't hit a target up in the forward 50?.
Any predictions for the Norm Smith?
I was going to mention that but you beat me, this is very much a repeat of there form as last year. I think the Cats might get up again. I lived in Geelong for 20years and was there for their losing grand finals and it was a huge party. I don't think it will be a walk over like last year, but they should get up over the hawks but only by points.
i am a hawks man and there's no doubt the hawks outclassed the cats in their respective previous games.
however i'm worried the hawks might not have enough left in the tank for next week. the cats looked like they took it easier against the Dogs.
I wouldn't say they took it easy, the cats don't seem to handle the week off to well plus the doggies played well anyway.
I don't think fitness is an issue for the two teams but your guys had a fairly physical game last night, hodge will be a worry although they expect him to play.
If the umpires ahve anything to do with it, Hawthorn will win, they get away with too much. If it is all about game skill, Geelong will win. That being said, St Kilda played **** last night and Hawthorn only won by 54 points, big deal. Goodnight Hawks.

Very hard to go past the cats. What is more important is that I'm on top of the JC footy tipping.
Reaper
im going for hawks to win but i think geelong mite just get the win. its going to be a great match, cant wait
as minux said abt freekicks... i heard that hawks have most free kicks for, and buddy franklin gives a fair few away each game.
Im a saints man, Robert Harvey = LEGEND
I think hawks will win in a close game.
dont worry, il start a ride thread soon.
Oh for the record, Im tipping Geelong by 40+ points.

Will Buddy kick a ton, will he be accurate, will he crap himself on the biggest stage?
That will decide the outcome as well.
A question for Minux: Who should make way for Chapman?
Franklin is useless with any half decent opponent. How many goals did he kick against the top 3 teams for the year? **** all. There is a massive gap between the top 4/5 teams to everyone else, dedicated full forwards SHOULD be kicking a bundle, sheesh look at fevola.
As for Chappy, unless he is 110% fit he shouldnt play, not sure who you would out for him.

Wojcinski would make way, tough luck really but lack of match practice has hurt him.
Not convinced chapman will play anyway. Nice tip minux, hope you're right but i don't think it will be by that much if we win.
In our local B grade grand final yesterday, one of the teams Centrals, their A squad didn't make the finals, so they dropped half the B side and put in A graders for the B grade grand final. It meant the blokes who did the hard yards and played every game and went to every training session missed out. For the record, Centrals won but a lot of their committed players are very sore and are looking to switch.

Carn' the ****ing hawks!!!!!!!! :d
GO CATS!!!! Look for Max Rooke to clean Hodge up at the first bounce gotta love maxy!!!
Ablett or Stevie J for Norm Smith. I'm not super confident about the game but i think the cats will be better for the harder game just like last year.
Plus Franklin doesn't deserve a premiership and we should have won in '89 yates should have killed dermie!!
