i was just trawling through discount new cars an i noticed that on looking at the price of a new ssv that the service interval is stated at every 10000 or every 6 months whereas in the manual it says 12 months or 15000 ks anybody know which one is correct.. i would say the manual but im not sure an dont want to loose my warranty if its wrong.
V6 - 15,000
v8 - 10,000

If it was at a holden dealership it could be their extended warranty which is about half the intervals of the manufacturers warranty.i was just trawling through discount new cars an i noticed that on looking at the price of a new ssv that the service interval is stated at every 10000 or every 6 months whereas in the manual it says 12 months or 15000 ks anybody know which one is correct.. i would say the manual but im not sure an dont want to loose my warranty if its wrong.
They do this to get more money out of you by doing two services in the same period instead of one.
Their extended warranty is not worth the paper it is written on, so stick to the manufacturers one as they designed/built the car so they can't be wrong.
ive always beleived in 10,000km's / 6mnths for all car not just v6 / v8 holdens
I do mine every 5000, filter and oil.
