Threatening phonecall

As some of you may have read i had a phonecall looked into from yesterday.

To cut a long story short i got a call from a deadbeat yesterday threatening me, which is pretty lame for starters lol. Worse than a keyboard warrior IMO because you actually have to take the time to ring, make the threat then hang up all whilst hiding behind your blocked number. Anyway! Testra were really good about it and looked it up, they said if the time i gave them and the log they have matched then they would be able to give me the number. I guess they don't/can't do it in one hit for security reasons. They said their service would dial in the number this afternoon to confirm the location.
(someone with telco experience might be able to confirm exactly how this is done, i was surprised so probably didn't listen properly...)

What they did tell me was the call originated in the Sunbury or something area - which is strange i don't know anyone from there and it was also a Vodaphone number.

They will give me (or the police if i want to do anything) the number tomorrow but i dunno about a police report straight away, it was only once - i'd actually rather post it up on here for all of you guys to prank whenever you like.

Let's bring the phonecall warrior down.

Keep your eyes on this space (unless of course a silly mate tells me it was a funny joke then i'll just have to laugh....) because a number is coming soon!!! (provided Telstra rings me tomorrow...)

lol if he lives or visits Sunbury or somewhere near there then i guess it could be. Doubt he could be ****ed doing something that gay though.

Might be time to put out an announcement to make sure all users DO NOT post phone numbers on here. If a contact option for a For Sale item is by phone, they should give it out in PM. I am assuming that is where said dead beat got your number from..?

I got something similar once (ages ago) and turned out it was a mate, (cousin 2 be exact) so dont stress mate

Dunno mate, til i get more details i don't even know if they are a member here. I think my number may have been listed here ages ago, but it was before the site crash so i reckon it was probably lost. Dunno, might check!

Yeah if it was random they need a life, they are also about to cop a few 100 "random" calls back.

Sounds suspiciously similar to a phone call I had from Sunbury last year from a JC member I know lives there...

Anyhow, certainly not my thing Troy. I dont even think your post joking that it would be me is funny.

Sure I speak my mind and have been known to have some keyboard warrior in me - but I dont take the whole online thing overly seriously. Certainly not as serious as some. Having the gawl to ring someone, threaten them and abuse them is just stupid! Cant believe it still happens.

CSP - I don't want to be swayed but as soon as i find the number i'd be very interested in comparing notes. Two heads are better than one, even if it's an ugly one like yours.

unreal. the more the merrier. Hope the loser doesn't have a family, i'd hate for them to be kept awake because of their stupidity... though the person sounded pretty thick so i doubt having sex with another human is in the picture.

actually scrap my earlier idea, instead im gonna spread the number around saying its mine, that way itll get plenty of threatening phone calls.

Haha Ill just put it on another forum as my mums number.
I had someone contact my mum through ebay and make death threats to her because of something I said on a forum. It went on for about a week, and I kept telling him to **** off and posted it on a forum. Then he emailed me my own address, and I found out he only lives an hour away, I did wat it took to make the peace and made my self look like an idiot by retracting what i had said, and had to remove quotes of what he had said. But meh saved him coming and hassling my mum. **** FORUMS

i had a prank phone call awhile a go and they continured to keep ringing which really started to **** me off :@:@ but one day they called but forgot to change there numb to private bahahaha lets just say i found out who they were and went to say hello hahaha i tried to call the phone company and ask if they could cut all private numbers to my phone and they said no :@ damn bastards i hate prank calls instead of callen him why doesnt every member from jc rock up to his house couple of cartons

and park our cars in his backyard sounds like a plan to me hahaha

there's a code or something to make your number private i think... dunno how it's done. Probably why too many people have my number, i have never really given a crap if it is unblocked or not. Never had to worry about it.

CSP i don't think it would be your style so i took it as a bit of fun. Despite some of the crap we moan about on here i honestly can't see you being someone that could be frigged taking the time to make phone threats.

I wouldn't worry too much mate, afterall it is school holidays. Probably some prepubesant 12 yr old with nothing better to do, should call the no. and tell mummy and daddy what they been up to lol. Maybe you ****ed off one of your students? What grade to you teach? Surely no adult would make that call, if so I would just sit back and laugh at their patheticness
