    Default Bloody Hoon Drivers

Getting so sick and tired reading about these bloody idiot hoon drivers.

When will these people learn? It is disgusting they aren't caught before they kill someone.

    Read the story below.

A SYDNEY woman has died after the car she was travelling in ran off the road and smashed through a convenience store.

Police said the 55-year-old passenger sustained multiple serious injuries when a Mitsubishi Magna crashed into the Werrington shop, west of Sydney, about 2.15pm (AEDT) yesterday.
The 71-year-old male driver suffered fractures to his ribs, knee and sustained a dislocated hip.
Both were taken to Nepean Hospital, where the woman later died.
Crash scene investigators attended the incident and will prepare a report for the NSW Coroner.

This is now seemingly happening on a regular basis, it is time Police start coming down on these hoon drivers before they take more people out.

I mean have a look at the attached Image, it is terrible, hoons are having these accidents in record numbers..

Now lets see how many people abuse me by NOT reading this post

Calm down now, If you had read correctly you would have realised the driver was 71!

I highly doubt the 71 yr old was hooning around. There could have been any number reasons the car left the road and to post prematurely and blame hooning (something you have probably been party to) is irresponsible to say the very least.
And knowing the area, the photo you attached is'nt even of the scene concerned.

This stuff gets me upset - young drivers in modified cars cop HEAPS of sh!t (albeit some of them are just wankers and absolutely deserve it), yet I don't see anything being done about older drivers who are just plainly not capable of driving! (as unfortunate as it may be)

Next time I see an oldie confused about reversing out of a parking spot, hitting the gas instead of the brake.... or just generally part-taking in awful anti-social behavior such as going 40 in a 70 zone, I'm going to call the TMU and expect them to rock up real quick.

I'm then going to expect them to canary the Camry's (a 'major' - RWC required, of course) for 'insufficient number of handbrake clicks' and 'not enough wiper fluid', and 'seat back loose'

I expect the magnas will be sent to the EPA because they are not up to emissions standards and burning far too much oil.

I then expect the drivers to be fined for 'failure to maintain proper control of a motor vehicle'. - along with a fine for obstruction of vision because of the tissue box and bowls hat on the parcel shelf.

Something needs to be done about this before more lives are lost - I suggest new legislation which will allow police to confiscate cars for 48 hours if the driver is found to be struggling to park in a busy shopping centre or strip. Furthermore, for a 2nd offence the car should be taken for a week, and sold on a third offence. - it's just a matter of time before someone is killed because they were sitting on a bench next to someone failing @ parking and hitting the gas instead of the brake, running them over. - oh no wait, that's already happened a whole bunch of times this year .. oops!

Also, I will be calling the TMU when i see a whole bunch of older drivers congregating in a local bowls club or retirement village.

I expect them to block off the car park and go over every single car there - with film crew on scene. I also expect that there will be an article in the local paper the next day about what a great job the police are doing at curbing "anti social" "hoon" behavior, and saving lives

Interesting to ponder about how the shoe fits the other foot

Standards should be tougher on older drivers once a certain age is achieved, mainly for the benefit of others. Not discounting the fact that in regards to this incident it is still early days and conclusions about hooning should be reserved pending the outcome of the investigation process.

I also think it's a bit weird how society's attitude changes depending on the age of the driver. (no offence intended to anyone in this thread !)

Old driver crashes into store and kills passenger = joke thread 'extracting the urine' and haha's everywhere.....

P plater in modified car crashes into store and kills passenger = evil thread with lots of grumpy and evils....

Mate it was a ****take post lol. Whenever a younger person has an accident it was a hoon, whenever a younger person speeds they are a hoon, if you have a loud exhaust and big wheels you are a hoon.

Lets read how the story would go for a 21 year old...

A SYDNEY woman was killed after the car she was travelling in ran off the road at high speed and smashed through a convenience store.

Police said the 25-year-old passenger sustained multiple serious injuries when a Holden Commodore smashed violently into the Werrington shop, west of Sydney, about 2.15pm (AEDT) yesterday.
The 21-year-old male hoon driver suffered fractures to his ribs, knee and sustained a dislocated hip.
Both were taken to Nepean Hospital, where the woman later died.
Crash scene investigators attended the incident and will prepare a report for the NSW Coroner.
Witness reports say that the car was revving loudly and was wildly out of control well before the corner. One witness 71 year old William Bloggs was quoted as saying "These young peoples are terrors, I could hear the car coming 600 metres away, there was smoke pouring off the tyres and it was making loud noises, I am amazed I could see it considering I wasn't wearing my bi-focals and even more amazed that I could hear anything as I had my hearing aid turned off. I was sitting in a shop and next minute I could see and hear this car come though the window. (please not conflicting stories as per usual)". Another witness Joe Bloggs III stated "It was horrifying watching the front wheel seemingly come away from the car as the kid was minding his own business driving along and seeing them veer straight for the building. It was like something mechanical had broken, there was nothing happening previously for anyone to even suspect something happening, it was just a typical car driving along a typical street following the speed limit." Police have said the second witnesses report will not be taken into consideration as the person is not a mechanic.
Police plan to charge the hoon driverand will also be confiscating the car well before there is any evidence to suggest that this was only an accident.

Contrary to that fact, you can think how older people end up being the ones in power.. They father these younger generations by labelling them as a hoon now that they became "conservationalists" who think lives are really important. I bet 75% of them don't even realise back when they were young, they were once a hoon too, modding their carby V8s with no proper exhaust manifold let alone catalytic converter.

True that theres lots of cars on the road but labelling younger drivers as hoon when they used to once be thus making younger drivers harder to obtain their license is pathetic really.

It is all the irony in the end that matters.

I'd love to enter into this debate, as some members of the forum have already had a shot at me being old and past it (at 56? come on...)

To me, "elderly" (that's gracious terminology for "old") is somebody from around 70 and up. As someone not tooooo far away from that dynasty, many drivers within this age group p*** me off royally, with their single minded approach to driving. Many of them acknowledge their limitations, but reason that as long as they drive within those limitations, it is alright for them to continue to do so, despite giving every other driver within 500 yards a huge dose of the sh1ts. Driving below the speed limit (as in 15 to 20 k's below, not just one or two), not keeping left, taking about five bites at parking in a car space at the local shops and still leaving the last five feet of their Camry sticking out into the lane, (they ALWAYS drive bloody Camry's - or Magnas).

I believe that the instant they crash tackle a shop window, or bus shelter, it's bye-bye license, for the good of the community. The rights of the individual must never outweigh the rights of the community at large. If they can no longer drive with absolute capability to control the vehicle at low speeds, they have proven themselves to no longer be fit to drive, full stop.

I'm tough on the old buggers, even though I will probably be like that myself within 10 to 15 years. I just pray that I have the common sense and lack of selfishness by then to recognize my limitations and hand my license in.

My Fiance and I witnessed a camry driver just before. She drove and scraped the **** out of a brand new Falcon Xr6. 4 times she tried entering a car park space, 4 times she hit the car. It wasnt until the 4th big **** off dint she put in it that she realised she hit it. So what does she do? Drove off. We got her reg, car type etc etc, waited for the owner of the ford to come back and gave him the details of her car etc and ours. He called the police.

That type of driving deserves licence suspension for life.

Well the same thing can be put towards any driver...how is an elderly person having a crash different from anyone else, my nan is 73 and she drives just as well as she did 50 years ago...except better experienced, she does the limit, and also gets p****d off at the people who don't. My pop (also 73), who has only ever had 2 crashes in his life, is one of the safest drivers you would ever find. If either of them were to have an accident, I'd give up my own license instead as I know they are drivers worth having a license. Unlike the idiots that fly through traffic swerving from lane to lane
