lol @ Sydney being a decent city.
Home nightclub is alright, but generally full of munters (which os OK if that is your thing).
Other then that, I found The Three Wise Monkeys (I think that is what it is called) to be a decent watering hole.
So, in exactly 5 days from now, I will be leaving this sad joke of a ****hole that is the Wide Bay, bound for sweet, wonderful, beautiful, sexy Sydney.One of the things I intend to do is to make the most of Friday and Saturday night and check out some of the nightlife.
My only question is...where's the best places to go? I'm mostly looking at going out in the area around The Rocks/Circular Quay and Kings Cross (yes, I know, I know). What are the best places that you'd recommend a 23 year old male to go to? Keep in mind, I don't want to go anywhere too flash - the best shoes I have are sneakers, which means I'm probably not going to get into a lot of places, but oh well. I'm just looking for places where I can get in without feeling as if I were a member of the Taliban going through US customs, have a few drinks, get up and have a dance to some decent music, meet people, hopefully get lucky with some nice lady, and basically generally relax and have a good time. I know there's a lot of Sydneysiders on here, so I'm hoping to get lots of great suggestions to help me make the most of being in a decent city!![]()

TVR-190: That LSD service paid off. Stato just got very sideways.
Grennan: In a stato, the term is held starboard.
Yeh definately go to Kings Cross you might pick up a nice lady (just make sure she doesn't have a penis)

Try the 'Bat and Ball' hotel which I think is near Fox Studios/Moore Park area. You'll love it
Just be careful you don't walk alone and think before you say something stupid to someone or you'll end up getting knifed. Seems to happen every Friday and Saturday night in Sydney.
Car theives should be treated just like horse theives and cattle rustlers in the days of the wild west... Hang them!
Don't be stupid. Power isn't measured by the size of your tacho
ha, yeah then go to fusions, or even better hunters,
if your goin to city, start at ace bar, near town hall, has $2 drink till about 11.
home night club aint that great on a friday unless your on some serious drugs, but on a saturday its alot better.
tank is just up from circular quay, its ok on a friday night(RnB) but is the best on saturday nights(electro/house)
anywhere along darling harbour is pretty good, but there is the odd place that you have to basicly wear a suit to get into.
havana= good
YU=****
the gaff= ok but lots of gays that slap you on the arse and it gets annoying
orion hotel= best pub
then you have all the dirty places in the cross that are always good aftter 2am, le panic, dragon fly, etc
if your going out your gonna need really dressy sneakers at least unless its a pub and earlyo , and i've found that wearing a belt has become a must at a few places lately (dont know y). Im a shire boy so i dont go over the bridge much, but will gladly go for a drink with u down this end of town though.
Orient Hotel in The Rocks is pretty good - had some fun times in there.
Same as the 3 Monkeys one on George St.
Stay away from Jackons on George.
Tank and Home are ok, but you have to be in the mood for them.
Establishment is alright, if you happen to be going out in a suit
Northies is quite good.

Its funni, I loved Jacksons on George st, Three wise monkeys was also quite good..
If ur into Rock music, try and to go "Club Blink". Also on George street.
I also found the "Shellbourne" on pitt street to be quite ok.
The lowenbrau (or beligum beer cafe) is an awesome place to start the night if you're looking for a big feed and plenty of beer. In at 6:30, grab a meal, and 2 or 3 steins, out by 8. Then off to the argyle, brooklyn hotel, establishment or harbour view hotel is always a decent night out in the rocks.
Thanks for all your suggestions guys.Exactly 24 hours from now I'll be in the air, can't wait.
Meanwhile though, I have a crappy Database Application Development exam to go to...w00t.
