Vs slr 5000?

Saw a VS SLR 5000 today......thought it was a senator/clubby until I saw the badges and stuff. SLR 5000.....thought that only came in a torana lol.

Was in the mount waverly area btw, if anyone else has seen it.

They are only a dealer pack, not a Holden released model. Same as a VT GTR etc. I wouldn't pay anymore than a normal V8 VR/S

Hahaha is it Black with silver inserts? If so it's parked in my mates street kinda near your place near the Jordanville basketball centre all the time. It's just a Clubby / Senator with SLR5000 badges. As Stealthy said, you wouldn't pay anymore than you would for a VR / VS V8 for it.

But yeah it caught me off guard the first time i saw it!

Actually, it was based on a VS Executive. They were made by HBD as a 25 year anniversary thing. Sat on VL Walkinshaw rims, only color was Panther Mica over Silver.

These cars come with nothing standard, Aircon even had to be paid for as an extra.

Yeah, I think that was the one. It was on waverly road outside maccas when I saw it.

My mate bought one 6 month sago for 14,000 from what i can remember. I dont know what to think of that at that price, it was an original but the kit had been changed to an original senator kit, all black. cleanest vs ive seem going around for a while, interior was perfect except for the gay slr 5000 embroided into the seats. Nice car though

how do these wheel companies stay in business? if i owned the company and someone came up to me with that design, first i would punch them in the face and then i would sack them. and what's even worse is that people buy this **** and think it looks good.

imo car looks good but not worth the money people may charge for it.

I've seen that car advertised for sale before ! ... The SLR's that I've seen while looking for a VS many moons ago were just painted silver on the sill panel and lower bumpers without the SS kit !

There not made in celebration of the torana, there made to get cars off the lot.
Its just a dealer pack, like a VT GTS, VN Formula (not to be confused with the VP Forumla which is a proper HSV model), and much the same as the first BA Cobra's )(not the FPV ones released later).
Just a dealer cashing in on the nameplate of another model.
