Slow down then usually at the next intersection i floor it and get to the speed limit as fast as i can then when they catch up, slow down again
just wondering what everyone does when someone tailgates you?
my dad turns his lights on so it looks like he is braking. myself, i either tap the brakes to warn them or drive real slow to annoy them. pushing doesn't get you anywhere.
usually I'll either a) stamp the brakes a few times until the offendee overtakes or b) drop my speed and set cruise control and just let them sit there until they get sick of it and overtake me lol

Pretend theres a spider on the brake, just keep tapping it

I've known my mother to shift over as far left as possible (e.g. so she is in the gravel on the road side) and spray rocks all over the offending vehicle lol obviously this doesn't work well in the city...

once on the way to work some tool in a baby car was tailing me. I accidentally waited till the last minute to change lanes to go round someone who was wating to turn. there was no room for him to change so he had to jump on the anchors and throw the anchor out the window. so much smoke from such small tyres
slow down until they go past.
I hate tailgaters

either just hold the brake pedal down enough to turn the lights on , or slow down,
an old fella at my work had some who was tailgating him cronic and took over him and then went through a set of lights when they where going red, when the old fella from work noticed him pulling up at the bakery, (about 6 in the morning when where heading to work) old fella got out and gave the tailgater a serve, apparently he shat himself and was very apologetic etc etc etc lol's

Won't go into too much detail, but me and a friend were "driving" home from work one morning (about 4am) he was in his 96 Ford XR6 and me in my VP, going down Pasco Vale road (heading towards broady, just before the Bell st freeway entrance) I was in the left lane, friend in right, and some guy decided to sit up my friends arse, it go to the 3 lanes and I went in left, and friend went to right, and the guy went to go in the middle but there was already someone there so he came over and sat behind me, to which I litterly HALVED my speed...He flew into the middle lane (this time he was in front of the other person) and began saying words I can repeat as I couldn't hear him![]()

drive like a grandpa 1km under the limit
or
if to lanes keep up with the car in the right lane half a car lenth behind
90% of the time I ignore them, people do it in the hope they can make you go faster or get you out of the way, 99% of the time I sit right on the speed limit, the 1% it's wet or foggy.
Though every now and then i'll lock all four wheels up if i'm having a real bad week, or swerve to avoid things that dont exist, then watch them swerve nothing at all, but mostly if I do do something I just let me feet have a rest as the car starts coasting towards a stop, if/when the decide to go around I let them, if it gets too slow for me, I speed up again.
Depends on what I'm driving, conditions of the road. Just grab a gear or two down, big compression brake usually does the trick. But if it's slippery/wet, not the wisest of moves, risk of compression lock or them nailing the brakes and skidding off (don't mind scaring the **** out of them, but not one for causing accidents)

not bad i posted in the thread :i hate tailgaters: like suggested to get it closed....lol
any way i hate tailgaters, but all i do is ease off accelerator (sp?) or change lanes if possible, as i dont want to cause an accident or road rage
had this happen teh other day....car full on chicks in a little car (nice looking to) right up me ass. I was in the VS with me mates (4 of us) and me mate turns around and gives them a wave lol long story short here is me mate in the back writing his number down on a piece of paper and threw it out the window but missed the car (DUH!!) lol they all laughed etc...was following us for about 5 k's down a 40kzone:P haha
but usually i find taxies are the worst .....i just ignore them or if there really close i slow down and just apply the brakes so the lights come on.. they **** them selfs and slam there brakes on lol
