Being hungover is not an excuse, unless he is required to use heavy machinery, but he should have thought ahead, only has himself to blame.
Used to hate that when working retail... the company i was working for were understaffed so the used to really hassle people to come in when they were sick. Then they wondered why they suddenly had no staff.. half of them were at home with the same damn illness after catching it at work. Glad I've finally moved on from retail to much better things now
