Default its true, old people just cant drive

so i was just masking up a car in the oven out the back of the shop when i hear this loud bang.
i think wtf was that so i go out around the front and see this gunmetal ef/el which had just slammed into our dumpmaster and bent the fence beside it.
i think to muself ok acciudents happen so i just wait to see what happens next.
the old bitch puts it into reverse and basically floors it into another fence, chucks it in drive and proceeds to pull a u turn nearly collecting a ford laser and an audi which were parked out on the street.

she took off like nothing happened so i yelled out hey stop but she didnt.

i couldnt fkn believe it it was like she didnt give a fk what she just did.
we had a customers subaru parked near the bin which i decided to move into the shop about an hour earlier for no apparent reason, glad i did it now too.

anyway i called the cops and gave the rego and they will look into it.
if this gets this old lady off the road ill be glad because if there was anyone walking on the footpath they would have been seriously hurt.

pics will be up when i get home

You can bet the cops will do nothing. My gf's grandmother fell a sleep at the wheel and slammed into the front of a semi. She lever lost any points for it. This wasn't the first time she fell asleep at the wheel either.

    Bloody hoon drivers!!!

Could you imagine what the cops would do if you said it was a P plater driving the car? They would be their with the SOG ram raiding the drivers house to impound the car.

Be even worse if its George Foreman, he will drive into you then suffer flashbacks of being in the ring and smack you around.

Scary watching them park. best thing to do if you see an old person having a hard time parking, go up and offer to do it for them before they damage something

Don't think that cops don't always do nothing about unfit drivers, whether they are old or not. In NSW, if a police officer is of the opinion that a person's fitness to continue to drive needs to be assessed, they can advise the RTA who can then put the driver through a comprehensive test. As you can imagine, some of the oldies don't make the grade, either on the road rules or driving skills.

surprised she knew what an accelerator cable was, and how she managed to drive the car out of there with it stuck

This is definitely not limited to old people, i watch heaps of people try to park their cars, either in shopping car parks or reverse parking on the street, it's ****ing funny. Watched a woman reverse park her vy wagon today outside work, luckily there's a bike lane between the parking bay and the road, cause she was half in the parking bay and half in the bike lane.

today i pulled upto an cross road intersection, i was on a stop sign going straight ahead, an old lady coming up on my left was driving rather slowly and i had plenty of time to go but waited for some reason. anyway old bird idicated to turn left in the street i was going to continue on into,

she came upto the intersection started turning and then stopped and was looking at me, my jaw fell out of my head with an expression of wtf?, she waited a few seconds and then proceeded around the corner.

This is why i terrorize old people with my sound system and v8 grunt so it scares them from coming on the roads.

i doubt they would let you. most of them think they are really good drivers (even the ones that are not) and cant face the fact they cant drive safely anymore. my Grandma is a Classic example she was driving up the right side of the road coming up to a roundabout and could not figure out why everyone was abusing her. so even basic road rules are forgoten thats pretty scarey

See what people don't know. The driver was a teenager before she stepped behind the wheel of a Ford.

Older drivers panic, And some younger ones also panic. I'm sure the driver was frazzled and just wanted out. As you get older everything slows down. I'm sure elderly drivers don't mean to make such mistakes time catches us all. And when we are old and hanging onto our license with everything we have, We will get it.

What could be better, you get pulled over for doing a skid, the police offer a free adjustment, a couple of good whacks later, the reception is far clearer then ever before.

everyone should remember that some day they will be older....elderly even....a lot of P platers on here complain about been given a hard time, wait till you are old. I'm a country person and never bother with reverse parking, I'll do 3 blockies first to find a parking spot I can get into easily, or I'll walk 3-4 blocks back if I have to. wildss, I've been to where you work and can understand how an older person could get into difficulties, but it would have looked good to watch....I drove halfway up the little street to find a spot to turn around....why anyone would live close to the city is beyond me if they wanted to drive a car everyday.
