It's not bad for a Datsun.
Hey Guys wats ur thoughts on the new R35 GTR Biased or not
GTR Stats:
* The engine designation is VR38DETT (Twin Turbocharged 3.8-liter V6) 60-degree vee angle and bore spacing with Nissan’s acclaimed VQ-Series, which is used in everything from the 350Z to several Infiniti SUVs. Few parts are shared between the two engine series.
* 7000 rpm redline
* The engine performance of the 3 trims is the same
* IHI turbos with integrated exhaust manifolds
* 10.2 psi (Car and Driver)
* 473 horsepower @ 6400 rpms
* 433 pound-feet of torque from 3200 to 5200 rpm.
* 20-inch wheels wrapped by Bridgestone Potenza RE070s, 255/40 in front and 285/35 rears.
* Front suspension was upper and lower A-arms and the rear was a five-link.
* Bilstein Damptronic shocks: 3 settings R, Sports and Comfort
* 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds
* 11.7 seconds in the quarter mile
* 192 mph top speed (Autoweek 193mph)
* 7:38:54 Nurburgring
* 0.99 lateral G
* Carbon fiber propshaft
* GR6 transmission -transaxle (The shifting is done via a direct, twin-clutch system. One clutch handles the odd gears and another clutch handles the even ones. Shifts take 0.2 seconds.) Aichi Kikai (Car and Driver)
* Below 25 mph the torque split is 50/50, above that, under normal driving, the split is 40/60. But it can split up to 2/98 under hard acceleration.
* Unlike versions of this system in other Nissan vehicles—the Infiniti G35x, for example—the GT-R setup employs a yaw sensor and is capable of instantly transferring torque from side to side, as well as fore-and-aft, as conditions dictate.
* Mostly flat undertray
* Front diffuser
* Rear carbon fiber diffuser
* Brembo Brakes
It's not bad for a Datsun.

Fair jaw dropping
sounds good, but i dont really like the look
yea look took a while to grow on me much the same as the VE Maloo i guess both hot cars imo
Not a huge fan, but for the same price as a W427, it is a bloody brilliant car.

Looks good, but how full on would it be to do any work on the front of the engine:my:

We asked the guy for a ride but he said nodon't blame him though lol.
But for what you get as a car for that price I think its bloody awesome.

looks gay, pathetic torque output, but would go like the wind. Not worth the money imo
no longer a hoon by association - the commodore is gone

Not sure about the audi's, funny shape and all. I mean this GTR though with just a tune is ripping massive numbers on tracks and down the 1/4. It is one impressive piece of gear.

yeh very quick car no doubt. Just doesnt look good IMO. Audi RS6 Wagon *drool*

i love what this car is capable of, personally i would have expected a little more torque from an engine with those stats. 580nm from a twin turbo 6? more please
The only other thing that worries me is the 100 billion computers that make it work. I dont care if its japanese, my TV is japanese and it doesnt work. If they cant get that right what can go wrong with this car? Everything is electronic, the suspension, the diff, the steering. Isnt there something like 1000 sensory through the car telling its 4zillion computers whats happening? Is that really driving or is it a computer game?
I guess i just car too much about how it works and if it works rather than how it drives.

They say it can beat a Porche around n-ring, Porche bought one and couldn't get it within 10 seconds of the claimed time :P
Also the new LS9 Vette will go around n-ring faster anyway and its RWD.
So yeah, Its not that good of a car.
47 made with the 185i engine $62,500 new
35 made with the 215i engine $73,500 new
the vette has almost twice the power doesnt it?
For what the roots of the car are, it is said to be ****ing fast, handle like a razor scooter, and be as safe as a bean bag
