Need Info On A Good Tattoo Shop In Adelaide

hi all,im after a decent tattoo shop for my 2nd tattoo im not from SA so i dont know where any are,can someone send me in the right direction,i'm in the cherry gardens area so i don't want to drive no more then & hour to get there.this is the tatt design i wanna get on my right leg in thigh...

Can't help with the tatto thing, thats not my style.

Can you elaborate where cherry gardens is? i know most of Adelaide but can't say i've heard of it.

Shep and Gomer at The Body art Shop on Grange road, they have done a lot of my mates, and come highly recommended in SA, ive seen some of their work and its second to none. Get guys from all over the state recommending them

Theres also Kelly i think at Burning Hell Tattoos at Pt Adelaide, she has done a lot of another mates work, looks the goods!

Wouldnt be much more than say 120-150 dollars. Most shops work on hourly rates, 120 is usually what they charge for a basic 1 hour tat.

Cheers, was especting more $80 - $100, but thats fine.

Will be more first tattoo, can I walk in there with what I want on paper and book an appointment?

Yeah walk in there with something you want in mind. What you want is a pretty common request so you will find they will have a book full of what you are after, or examples on the wall for more... unique tat take in a general design/picture. Book in a time, they will have it drawn up when you come in.

Different places have different prices for their time. Most places I have been to have worked off around 100-120 an hour. They will always charge you for at least an hours work. Depending on what you want times will differ, yours will have a lot of line work. Lettering and line work takes time. Depending on the size I would say it would be closer to 150 bucks, but go in and just ask for a quote.

hi all been while since i posted this,i found a tatt place in morphette vale xanchies,great place got a rib tatt,didnt go with the grim,great place i am going back when i find another design wont be on ribs again i dont think haha.

i recomend against the places on northeast rd around greenacres and prospect.

Im not saying this from an anti-tat thing... just know the guys who work there ... and when i was a youth councillor cant say I have much nice to say about guys who will willingly tattoo underage girls, or show them their genital piercings...

quite a few of hte places up that way are into dodgey crap. 2 years ago 16yo up there was going through a 'body art' phase, pretty much all of the shops up there did work on her without giving a crap about her age.

One of the guys even showed her his stuff as well, and they all knew her age, cant really endorse those places.

The place down at the bay is meant to be pretty good, they handled a few of the army tats
